    Pink Sands Resort
    Dunmore Town
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 398 reviewsTripAdvisor (398)

Occupying 20 lush acres in Harbour Island's Dunmore Town (50 miles east of Nassau), Pink Sands Beach boasts 23 pastel-hued cottages and easy access to the Bahamas' signature rosy sands. Take your pick between a spacious standard guestroom and a secluded Bimini Cottage; all rooms include a California king bed, air conditioning and a private patio with teak furniture. As its moniker suggests, the Pink Sands Resort's main appeal is its blush-colored beach. Though the coral sands are ideal for lounging, you'll have to venture off site and pay extra for water sports, like scuba diving, snorkeling and bone fishing. Despite the isolation afforded by the resort and the romantic atmosphere of these accommodations, some recent guests say the entire resort is overpriced, especially the menu items at the two on-site restaurants, Garden Terrace and Blue Bar.

The Coral at Atlantis, Paradise Island
    Paradise Island
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 3.5 based on 2936 reviewsTripAdvisor (2936)
    Free Breakfast
Although each Atlantis Bahamas branch shares access to a water park and a golf course, The Coral at Atlantis touts perhaps the most important amenity: An ideal location. Centrally situated amidst Atlantis' lagoons on Paradise Island in the Bahamas, this family-friendly Autograph Collection property – which was renovated in 2017 – is steps from the Coral Pool, the resort's casino and the shops at Crystal Court and the Marina Village. Because of its abundance of  activities, various entertainment options and 21 restaurants, recent guests liken The Coral at Atlantis to an immobile cruise ship, without the endless supply of prepaid dining. However, several past visitors lamented the high room rates. To help cut down costs, members of the Marriott Bonvoy program can use points to pay for rooms here.

    Harborside Resort at Atlantis
    Paradise Island
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 2016 reviewsTripAdvisor (2016)
    Free Breakfast
For residential-style villas within the Atlantis complex, previous guests say you can't go wrong with the Harborside Resort. You'll have your pick between spacious one-, two- and three-bedroom villas, all featuring private patios, washers and dryers and kitchenettes. Past visitors say the large rooms and convenient amenities make Harborside an excellent choice for vacationing clans. Families will also enjoy the fact that access to the 141-acre water park, 11 pools, three beaches and marine exhibits (among other resort attractions and activities) are all included in Harborside's room rates. But while lodgers are quick to praise the included resort amenities and attentive staff, reviewers aren't as complimentary of the food. Guests say the restaurants (of which there are 21) are over-priced. Reviewers also warn that your pocketbook won't find much relief at the on-site grocery store.

The Reef at Atlantis, Paradise Island
    Paradise Island
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 1856 reviewsTripAdvisor (1856)
    Free Breakfast
The Reef at Atlantis, a member of Marriott's Autograph Collection, caters to the Paradise Beach vacationer looking for a touch of luxury. Guests can choose between spacious, well-appointed studios, suites and penthouses, which all feature private balconies or terraces that open to views of the Nassau Harbour or the ocean. Every accommodation includes a kitchenette or kitchen and a large master bath. In addition to the deluxe rooms and suites, guests have access to Atlantis Bahamas resort activities like an 18-hole golf course, a casino with 700-plus slot machines, a 141-acre water park and the Dolphin Cay marine habitat. And when you need to soothe your appetite, Atlantis touts 21 restaurants and 19 bars and lounges offering everything from American barbecue to Bahamian fare to upscale Japanese cuisine. Despite the staggering amount of choices, guests say the overall Atlantis experience – especially dining – can be overpriced. To save some coin on meals, guests recommend stopping at a grocery store on your way to the resort or heading to neighboring Potter's Cay for authentic (and budget-friendly) Bahamian dishes. You can also pay for your room with Marriott Bonvoy points.

  • Sitting pretty on the Bahamas' secluded Harbour Island, Valentines Residences, Resort & Marina boasts just 40 suites. Outfitted in a contemporary Bahamian decor, each accommodation features a balcony or covered patio, a kitchenette or kitchen, a marble bathroom, free Wi-Fi access and in some of the larger suites, a pullout bed for extra guests. Along with the well-equipped digs and attentive staff, visitors are quick to praise the resort's secluded perch on Pink Sands Beach and the tasty (albeit pricey) meals served at its two sit-down restaurants. Guests can also take advantage of the resort's spa, fitness center, pool and on-site dive center, which can supply dive boats, scuba equipment rentals and loaner underwater cameras (for an additional fee).

    Rosewood Baha Mar
    Nassau
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 133 reviewsTripAdvisor (133)
    Free WiFi

This Rosewood property can be found within Baha Mar, a 1,000-acre development that was completed in 2018 and sits on Nassau's Cable Beach. Within the development, travelers will find two other hotels – the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar and the SLS Baha Mar. Guests at all three properties have access to all of Baha Mar's amenities, including a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, a racquet club, nine tennis courts, a casino, a nature sanctuary, a kids club and more than 40 dining and nightlife options. Rosewood guests craving time away from the crowds can retreat to the hotel's private section of Cable Beach, where sun loungers, umbrellas and a range of water sports equipment are available. This outpost in the Bahamas also boasts two pools, a 24-hour fitness center, two bars and Sense, A Rosewood Spa. Past guests described the pools as "exquisite," thanks to the attentive service. Reviewers also praised the accommodations, which are equipped with Rivolta Carmignani linens, Bahamian art, soaking tubs and furnished balconies. Those who splurge on a villa will enjoy extra space, plunge pools and butler service. On-site dining ranges from the seafood-focused Costa to international plates at Commonwealth. Aside from the long list of amenities, past lodgers were most impressed with the service, calling it "five-star perfection." Keep in mind that rates at this Rosewood are pricey, according to guests.

Old Bahama Bay Resort & Yacht Harbour
    West End
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 456 reviewsTripAdvisor (456)
    Free Parking
Found in the Bahamas' historic West End village on the western tip of Grand Bahama Island, Old Bahama Bay Resort & Yacht Harbour offers a secluded, less tourist-focused hideaway. But recent guests said this quiet isolation comes at a cost: The nearest restaurants and attractions are located in Freeport – a roughly 30-mile trek southeast of the resort. The distance from Freeport's eateries can be especially difficult since Old Bahama Bay houses only one restaurant. However, the resort does offer plenty of activities. Because of its marina location, fishermen can easily cast a line, swimmers can splash around in the 4,000-square-foot infinity pool, and beachcombers can scuba dive, snorkel or lounge on the sands. Plus, equipment like paddleboards, kayaks and bicycles are covered by the property's $20 daily resort fee. After a day in the sun, retire to your suite. Each features luxurious amenities like colonial-style artisan furnishings, a kitchenette, a bathtub and in-unit laundry machines.

Scuba divers will feel right at home at Club Med Columbus Isle. Because of its Atlantic coast location in the San Salvador archipelago of the Bahamas, this Club Med property attracts divers keen on seeing the region's abundance of healthy coral and underwater life. (Keep in mind, scuba diving is not covered by your all-inclusive package.) If you prefer to stay above the waves, the resort boasts plenty of complimentary activities, including sailing, windsurfing and tennis. A spa, a pool, three bars and two restaurants that serve fresh Bahamian fare are available as well. Inside the resort's accommodations, you'll find colonial-style decor, flat-screen TVs, coffee makers and balconies that overlook Bonefish Bay Beach. However, some past guests cautioned that their digs lacked adequate air conditioning and appeared worn and dirty.

    Grand Lucayan
    Lucaya, Freeport
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 3097 reviewsTripAdvisor (3097)
    Free Parking
Resting on a mile-long stretch of sugary sands in Freeport on Grand Bahama Island, the all-inclusive Grand Lucayan features 542 rooms and suites with contemporary island-inspired decor. Every accommodation comes with a private balcony that overlooks the resort's gardens, adjacent marina or ocean, plus complimentary internet access and one king-sized or two double beds. Grand Lucayan also offers a long list of on-site activities, including an 18-hole golf course, a casino, a 25,000-square-foot spa, two tennis courts, a fitness center and three swimming pools. If you wish to venture beyond the resort, the Port Lucaya Marketplace sits within walking distance. Lucayan National Park, one of the Bahamas' top attractions, is also about 20 miles northeast of the property. When it's time to refuel, take your pick between the resort's coffee shop, lobby bar and four restaurants, with cuisines ranging from Caribbean to Italian. Despite the variety, guests give the on-site eateries and watering holes mixed reviews and report inconsistent customer service.

The Royal at Atlantis, Paradise Island
    Paradise Island
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 7431 reviewsTripAdvisor (7431)
    Free Breakfast
Compared to the luxe Reef at Atlantis and the adults-only Cove at Atlantis, The Royal at Atlantis is the most kid-friendly branch of the Atlantis Bahamas properties, starting with one of the largest open-air marine habitats in the world (which resides in the lobby). Recent guests praised The Royal at Atlantis' rooms, which feature flat-screen high-definition TVs, 24-hour room service and French balconies that open to harbor or ocean views. But the best part about staying here is having access to Atlantis amenities like the 141-acre water park, one of the Caribbean's largest casinos, the Mandara Spa and an 18-hole golf course. Though there are 40 restaurants, coffee shops, bars and lounges on-site, previous visitors recommend going into Nassau (about 5 miles south of the property) for meals to avoid shelling out a pretty penny for pricey meals at the resort. Travelers can also cash in accrued Marriott Bonvoy points for stays here.

  • The Hilton at Resorts World Bimini is set on 750 stunning acres on North Bimini Island. Guests have access to white sand beaches and an expansive marina complex, as well as a 10,000-square-foot casino, two pools, a tennis court, a spa and seven restaurants, quick service cafes and bars. Each of this Hilton outpost's 305 guest rooms and suites feature amenities like a flat-screen TV, a minifridge and blackout curtains and 250-thread-count sheets. All accommodations also offer balconies, but not all feature ocean views. Outside the rooms, guests can enjoy activities like Jet Skiing, snorkeling and sport fishing – which the island is known for. Some recent guests were disappointed with the service they received from the property's employees, but most appreciated the comfortable accommodations and the delicious (albeit expensive) meals served on-site. Plus, members of the Hilton Honors rewards program can cash in points for a free stay.

Sandals Royal Bahamian has a long-standing regal heritage. Before it was part of the Sandals family, this retreat was known as the Balmoral Club – a famed 1940s escape for the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. Upholding the Balmoral's legacy, Sandals Royal Bahamian's main entrance and lobby display frescoed ceilings and opulent chandeliers, while rooms include old-world colonial accents. Sandals Royal Bahamian also features a Red Lane Spa, 10 restaurants, seven pools and complimentary gear for kayaking, sailing and scuba diving (lessons are covered by the all-inclusive room rates). And if you crave a change in scenery, hop on a free boat and within minutes you'll be on Sandals' private offshore island with access to two secluded beaches, a lagoon-style pool and a seafood eatery. Though guests say the private beach is a fun getaway, many lament the inconsistent service and the indirect ocean views from the accommodations.
