Since 1914, Chatham Bars Inn has been a cozy oceanfront retreat that beckons to Cape Cod visitors with its laid-back luxury. Although it isn't a classic New England bed-and-breakfast, the inn still gets rave reviews from recent visitors who described the staff as very pleasant and accommodating. The decor follows the Cape Cod norm, with beige and blue sea motifs. The nautical color palette extends to the hotel's guest rooms and cottages, which guests adore for their seaside views. Accommodations are equipped with Bose Wave radios, L'Occitane toiletries and Nespresso coffee makers. The only complaint, according to a vocal minority, is that standard guest rooms are a bit cramped for the price point. That said, the delectable New England-inspired fare served at the on-location dining venues – Stars Restaurant, The Sacred Cod, the Beach House Grill and The Veranda – earns rave reviews from past diners. What's more, Leaders Club members get perks like room upgrades and complimentary breakfast for two thanks to the property's ties to The Leading Hotels of the World.
