    The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples
    Naples, FL
#1 in Best Resorts in Naples
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 1085 reviewsTripAdvisor (1085)

If you're looking for a more casual hotel than The Ritz-Carlton, Naples on Vanderbilt Beach Road, consider booking a stay at the homey-but-still-sophisticated Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, situated just a few miles inland. You'll sacrifice the outstanding ocean views of Naples' other Ritz property, but for golf lovers, it's worth it to be closer to the 36-hole Tiburón Golf Club. Those who like to unwind can get a massage at the in-house spa or lay out by the pool. Frequent guests also like the on-site Lemonía restaurant, which serves up regional cuisine with international flavors. And though the resort may be devoid of any ocean-facing rooms, accommodations overlooking the golf course are nonetheless top-notch. Rooms include private balconies, goose-down comforters and European toiletries, not to mention high-speed internet access and flat-screen TVs.

This Ritz in Naples, Florida, is a clear guest favorite. Travelers find its luxurious amenities and attentive staff to be in a class all of its own, even when compared with other top-notch properties. The only thing comparable is its sister property, The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples, which is located approximately 4 miles away (there's a complimentary shuttle that goes to the Tiburón Golf Club at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort). At this Ritz, you can relax at the massive spa and salon, which boasts 30 separate treatment rooms, or work up a sweat in the fitness center. Or, feast away at one of the seven decadent dining options: Recent vacationers describe the on-site Gumbo Limbo restaurant – with its Floridian cuisine – as the perfect place to grab a bite to eat. Some recent guests aren't as complimentary of the rooms, however. Some travelers say the rooms (which feature 42-inch smart TVs and marble bathrooms) are subject to late-night noise.

You won't have to catch a shuttle to the beach at this aptly named Naples hotel ("La Playa" means "the beach" in Spanish) – many of the property's airy rooms offer picture-perfect ocean views. When you're lounging on the sands, take advantage of LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort's beach butler service: Dedicated attendents will bring you everything from cold drinks to towels. This whimsically designed property also boasts its own 18-hole golf course, a major perk for the golfing set. And when it comes time to refuel, grab your special someone and head to the main in-house restaurant, BALEEN. Many visitors describe the ambiance of this eatery as "romantic," but the seafood-laden (albeit pricey) menu is what really gets hearts pumping. Or, settle in to one of the property's guest rooms, which are dressed in bright floral decor and come equipped with furnished balconies, pillow-top mattresses and high-speed internet access. You'll find LaPlaya – a member of the boutique Noble House family – along Vanderbilt Beach.

This resort in northern Naples is a big hit with families. Perhaps it's the pool with a 100-foot-long twisting waterslide or the 3 miles of white-sand beach. But don't worry, if you're traveling sans the youngsters, there are still plenty of amenities to pass the time. The property boasts an 18-hole golf course, 15 Har-Tru tennis courts and a spa with 12 treatment rooms. Grab a drink at the lounge, sit down to a tasty lunch at Aura, or head to The Catch of the Pelican for a delicious dinner of steak and seafood. When it's time to sleep, recharge in a coastal, garden or gulf view room and enjoy private balconies or patios, flat-screen TVs and marble bathrooms with walk-in showers and soaking tubs. While former visitors raved about the rooms and the beach, they bemoaned the daily resort fee.

Bellasera Resort's real claim to Naples fame is its gracious hospitality. Recent guests said the employees here are both friendly and attentive. Designed with a Tuscan theme, the Bellasera Resort impresses guests with in-room amenities like Jacuzzis (in some rooms), kitchenettes and flat-screen TVs. The suites also come with extra perks like private balconies and fully equipped kitchens. Previous visitors describe the Bellasara Resort as a hidden gem and praise the spaciousness of the suites. However, some guests were disappointed that the restaurant closed. But should you get hungey, you can venture beyond the hotel on the resort's complimentary shuttle or a loaner bike.

Most travelers think the Naples Bay Resort, conveniently located on Fifth Avenue, is a well-run and relaxing resort. Plus, guests enjoy looking out over the Old Naples' Curlew Canal or the Naples Bay Marina (as seen from many of the balconies of the plush Tuscan-inspired rooms). Standard accommodations come appointed with minifridges, separate shower and tubs, coffee makers and balconies; upgrade to a suite, and you'll be rewarded with a separate living and dining area and other perks. Still, some past guests express dissatisfaction with the less-than-responsive staff. This Naples, Florida, resort also features a spa on the premises, not to mention a 5,000-square-foot pool area, a lazy river and a desirable location near the eateries of Fifth Avenue. But if you prefer to dine in, consider sitting down at one of the three on-site restaurants; Bonefish Grill, which serves up fresh Gulf seafood, earned high praise from recent guests.
