And with large entry gates and ocean views on three sides, the resort boasts a secluded and private feel. South Seas is more than a quiet lover's retreat, however; families love the kids and teens day programs, shoppers drool over the resort's retail outlets, and athletic travelers have a plethora of lush golf courses, tennis courts, and water sports to keep them busy. Recent travelers rave about the more than two miles of sugar white sands that are reminiscent of the Caribbean; guests also awe at the abundant wildlife off the coast. But a vocal minority complain about additional fees. And fair warning, the resort is about an hour's drive from the Fort Myers mainland.
