    Secrets Huatulco Resort & Spa
    Bahía de Conejos
    4.5-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 4993 reviewsTripAdvisor (4993)

Rubbing elbows with its sister AMResorts property Dreams Huatulco Resort & Spa, this Secrets resort wins guests over with its friendly customer service and spectacular views of Conejos Bay. Resting along the shores of Mexico's Pacific coast (about 5 miles east of the town of Huatulco), Secrets Huatulco Resort & Spa provides vacationers with stylish adults-only lodging. Previous visitors describe the 399 accommodations as elegant thanks to their colorful decor, Jacuzzi tubs, LCD satellite TVs, coffee makers and private balconies and terraces. But Secrets Huatulco's nightly room rate covers more than just classy digs: The resort's Unlimited-Luxury package also includes unlimited meals and beverages at nine restaurants and five bars and lounges, a variety of pastimes (including windsurfing, kayaking and snorkeling) and plenty of evening entertainment. If you prefer a less active vacation, allow Secrets Huatulco's staff members to bring you drinks as you lounge by the pool or on the beach. Or, for an extra fee, you can spend an afternoon getting pampered at the Secrets Spa by Pevonia.

Sitting next to its fellow AMResorts family member Secrets Huatulco Resort & Spa along the Bays of Huatulco (about 3 miles northeast of Huatulco town), Dreams Huatulco Resort & Spa offers sun-seeking guests prime access to the Pacific shoreline, as well as a number of other relaxation-inducing features. The resort's all-inclusive Unlimited-Luxury package allows visitors to participate in an array of activities, including kayaking, snorkeling and poolside lounging. The nightly rate here also covers meals and drinks at seven restaurants and five bars and lounges. And as for the rooms, this hotel's accommodations earn high praise from previous visitors for their contemporary orange and coffee-colored accents, furnished patios and balconies and cable TVs. If you're traveling with kids (ages 3 to 12), sign them up for the complimentary Explorer's Club. They'll have a great time while you're unwinding at the Dreams Spa by Pevonia or teeing off at the par-72 Campo de Golf Tangolunda golf course, located less than a mile from the resort. (Note: Spa treatments and greens fees are not covered by the all inclusive package.)

    Las Brisas Huatulco
    Santa María Huatulco
    3.5-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 6087 reviewsTripAdvisor (6087)

Perched along the Bays of Huatulco (and roughly 20 miles southeast of Huatulco town), Las Brisas offers escapists a sense of seclusion. And some guests note that the feeling of isolation doesn't just apply to the resort, but to some of the rooms as well. This 484-room property sprawls out across a whopping 50-acre swath of land and previous visitors say that getting around the resort can be exhausting. To save yourself from a considerable trek, request a room near the lobby. As for the accommodations themselves, some guests note that the rooms could use a facelift, but most travelers were pleased with the high-end in-suite amenities, including cable TVs, minibars and marble bathrooms. And though the resort's size may strain your legs, it does afford access to three private beaches and three swimming pools, not to mention a theater and seven eateries (plus a lounge). Travelers can choose whether or not to participate in an all-inclusive plan, which will cover meal costs at the main buffet (plus three à-la-carte dining experiences at any of the specialty restaurants), children's programs at the Mini Club (for guests ages 6 to 11) and evening entertainment in the room rate.
