World Golf Village Renaissance St. Augustine Resort
    St. Augustine, FL
#1 in Best Resorts in St. Augustine
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 1132 reviewsTripAdvisor (1132)
    Free Parking
A compelling reason for guests to stay at this Renaissance branch is that it boasts not one, but two championship golf courses. Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus co-designed the King & Bear Golf Course, which sits about 6 miles away and is framed with Bermuda grass and Loblolly pines. The par-72 Slammer & Squire Golf Course, however, is located on-site and features holes orchestrated by architect Bobby Weed and inspired by golf gods "Slammin'" Sammy Snead and Gene "the Squire" Sarazen. As for accommodations, each room is outfitted with perks like a desk, minifridge, flat-screen TV and wet bar. Still, some previous guests express disappointment with the steep $9.95 per-day charge for in-room Wi-Fi. On the upside, the resort does offer complimentary shuttle service to and from St. Augustine, Florida's downtown area, making it easy for visitors to explore nearby attractions. Plus, the hotel offers three on-site restaurants, as well as close proximity to one of the best-loved city eateries, Murray Bros. Caddyshack Restaurant. The tourist stop is owned by "Caddyshack" actor Bill Murray and his brothers. And another bonus: Marriott Bonvoy members can accrue or cash in points here.

Casa Monica Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection
    St. Augustine, FL
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 2071 reviewsTripAdvisor (2071)
The Casa Monica Resort & Spa impresses visitors with its old-world charm. Perched on Cordova Street in St. Augustine, Florida, the property offers an intimate setting and intricate design. Take the guest rooms, for instance, which boast wooden furniture and red velvet headboards. But the Casa Monica doesn't forget the needs of contemporary guests: Recent visitors said their rooms were spacious and clean. All accommodations also come outfitted with allures like flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi access. While you're staying at this Autograph Collection outpost, you'll also have access to facilities like a pool, a fitness center, a beach club and two restaurants, including Mediterranean-influenced Costa Brava. Guests delight in Casa Monica's historical feel, but they also appreciate its convenient location within walking distance of Flagler College and the historic district's shops, restaurants and museums on St. George Street. What's more, Marriott Bonvoy members can rack up and cash in points here for additional stay benefits. The only drawback? A $22 daily resort fee.
