TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 5 based on 2346 reviewsTripAdvisor (2346)

The first Four Seasons property to open at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, this resort – which sits about 5 miles southeast of the Magic Kingdom – aims to fill the park's luxury lodging void. And judging by its amenities, the Four Seasons Resort Orlando appears to be succeeding. With its own 18-hole golf course, 13,000-square-foot spa and rooftop steakhouse, the property is well-suited for travelers who want easy access to the theme parks without the over-the-top kitsch associated with Disney-owned properties. That's not to say that the resort doesn't cater to little ones: The property also boasts two 242-foot-long waterslides, an 11,008-square-foot lazy river and the complimentary Kids For All Seasons kids camp. Plus, the Four Seasons Resort Orlando offers its own Disney character breakfasts, complimentary park shuttle service and a Disney Planning Center – a separate concierge desk designed for mapping out your park itinerary and purchasing tickets. Aside from its amenities, this Four Seasons excels in its accommodations, according to recent guests. Rooms are outfitted with large soaking tubs, flat-screen TVs, contemporary decor and complimentary Wi-Fi access. Recent travelers also appreciated the customer service team here but were not as pleased with the pricey nightly rates.

In addition to the excellent food and the PGA golf courses, The Cloister at Sea Island boasts one of the best views on all of Sea Island, Georgia. Its name describes this resort perfectly: Sanctuary. And its location, lodged on the side of Camelback Mountain, is rife with opportunities for both rejuvenation and physical activity. No wonder this hotel has seen its fare share of Hollywood heavyweights passing through its doors. Guest rooms are bright and beautiful, with exposed, whitewashed brick walls, deep soaking tubs and panoramic views. But for most travelers, Sanctuary's highlights are located outside the rooms. Guests lounge in (or by) the infinity pool and watch their worries drop off the edge of the world. And for an extra dose of pampering, travelers head straight to the resort spa, which boasts a bevy of Asian-inspired treatments. Visitors can also sip a variety of cocktails made from premium liquor and local ingredients at Jade Bar before enjoying a meal at Elements, the hotel's restaurant run by chef Beau MacMillan. And although Sanctuary does charge a $40 resort fee per night (to cover parking and internet access, among other amenities) on top of the general room rate, many guests weren't fazed by the extra cost.

Hugged by the hills of Marana, Arizona – 27 miles northwest of downtown Tucson – this Ritz opts for trendy over tradition, with contemporary art and sleek furnishings dominating the decor. And though The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain might not deliver authentic hacienda living, recent guests don't seem to mind the lack of traditional Southwestern style. (Besides, if you're craving a true taste of the region, you can simply make dinner reservations at CORE Kitchen & Wine Bar.) The spa and pool area make a great setting for some R&R, while golfers give high praise to the 27-hole, Jack Nicklaus-designed course (guests gain access to these amenities after paying a daily resort fee of $50). Travelers also appreciated the low-key elegance of the guest rooms, where plush fabrics feel homey while high-end features (like deep-soaking tubs and private balconies) feel deluxe. Yet despite all of its positive aspects, guests say it's the staff's friendliness that truly makes their stays memorable. Marriott Bonvoy members can also use and earn points by staying here.

If you're looking for a family-friendly getaway in Nantucket, consider The Nantucket Hotel & Resort. Recent visitors raved about the amount of kid-friendly amenities offered by the property, as well as the warm, welcoming staff. In addition to supervised day and evening programs for children, the hotel also provides bicycle rentals, two outdoor heated pools (one that's solely reserved for adults) and family portrait sessions from a local photographer (some activities and amenities cost extra). Lodgers reported that the on-site Breeze Restaurant was also kid-appropriate, with a separate menu just for picky eaters. If you'd rather dine off the resort, you'll find a variety of options within walking distance thanks to the hotel's central location in downtown Nantucket, just a half-mile west of Brant Point Lighthouse. The property is also within walking distance of the ferry docks and is less than a mile from Jetties Beach (the hotel offers complimentary NRTA Wave shuttle tickets to the beach). Rooms are equally family-oriented, with some suites accommodating up to 15 guests. Accommodations are equipped with Frette linens, iHome radios, coffee makers, TVs with DVD players and beach towels and chairs. What's more, resort guests are granted access to the Nantucket Club (located on-site), which houses a gym and spa and offers yoga and fitness classes.

Sweeping mountain vistas and rustic furnishings are just two of the many reasons why guests are drawn to The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe. Others include fantastic customer service, great food and a sumptuous atmosphere. With a ski-in/ski-out location near the shores of Lake Tahoe, California, this Ritz allows visitors prime access to the slopes and two nearby championship golf courses. As for the hotel itself, on-site amenities include a tranquil spa and several gourmet restaurants. As far as lodging goes, recent guests raved about the large rooms, comfy beds and beautiful setting. Rooms and suites adopt a mountain lodge feel with stone fireplaces, wood trim and beautiful views. Guests generally loved their stay here, however, some visitors lamented the resort fee, especially given the hotel's high room rates. Marriott Bonvoy members can use points to keep costs down, though.
