    The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas

    0.37 miles away

    Dallas, TX
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 945 reviewsTripAdvisor (945)
Located near the Museum of Art, the Dallas edition of the luxurious Ritz-Carlton brand goes beyond just offering many of the amenities you'd expect from a five-star hotel. For instance, this hotel boasts not just a pool, but a saline-treated rooftop pool; and not just facials and massages, but a 12,000-square-foot spa. But guests say that the rooms alone are worth The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas' high price tag. Spacious and elegant, these high-end digs come equipped with 400-thread-count linens and iPod docking stations, not to mention HD televisions and fully stocked minibars. If peanuts and cookies won't tide you over, make reservations at Fearing's Restaurant; previous visitors said that the eatery deserves its numerous accolades thanks to its gourmet American cuisine. But while most recent guests were satisified, a few say the service wasn't up to par for a Ritz property. Because of The Ritz-Carlton's affiliation with Marriott, member's of the company's loyalty program can trade in their rewards points for extra perks.

    Hotel ZaZa Dallas

    Dallas, TX
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 1329 reviewsTripAdvisor (1329)

Located just outside the city center, the boutique Hotel ZaZa Dallas lures style-minded guests with its Poolside at ZaZa (a hot spot often frequented by Hollywood A-listers when they're in town) and its Concept Suites that feature themed decor. Even if you opt for a regular room, you'll find yourself staying in the presence of one-of-a-kind artwork and Mediterranean-inspired decorative accents (as well as 42-inch flat-screen TVs and minibars). Most guests love the furnishings, the service and the restaurant, though Hotel ZaZa Dallas' quirky style isn't for everyone. When you're not snoozing or lounging by the pool, you can pamper yourself with a massage or work up a sweat at the ZaSpa Dallas, or treat your taste buds to a variety of innovative flavors at Dragonfly.

    The Joule

TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 1212 reviewsTripAdvisor (1212)

Some hotels aim for historical luxury, while others lean more toward contemporary-chic. The Joule does both, combining antique accents (check out the massive mechanical wheel in the lobby) with multicolored lighting and modern art. Recent guests say they were beyond impressed with the decor, as well as the numerous amenities, including a library and several shops. The Joule's stunning infinity pool is also worth a look: Its daring rooftop design earned it a spot on our list of the Prettiest Hotel Pools. And when dinnertime rolls around, grab some contemporary Texas fare at CBD Provisions. The hotel's location isn't bad, either; rooms look out over Main Street in the heart of Dallas' historic district.

The Hotel Crescent Court provides an eclectic setting in the heart of Dallas' trendy Uptown district. Guests love the Hotel Crescent Court's opulence, though travelers feel that the property would benefit from some renovation efforts. Everything at this central Dallas property – from the paintings on the walls to the guest rooms – feels oversized. Families particularly appreciate the extra-large rooms and give kudos to the hotel's attentive staff. Parents can unwind at the spa or partake in a delightful afternoon tea: The property offers babysitting services as part of its kids program. Meanwhile, gourmands will enjoy dining at Nobu, which serves up an eclectic array of Japanese food. For lunch, grab a table at the The Conservatory and follow it up with a classy cocktail at Beau's.

    The Adolphus, Autograph Collection

    0.54 miles away

    Dallas, TX
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 2883 reviewsTripAdvisor (2883)
Everyone from Babe Ruth to Queen Elizabeth II has spent the night at The Adolphus, which was opened by beer tycoon Adolphus Busch in 1912. Close to the Neiman Marcus flagship store in Dallas' historic district, this hotel exudes elegance and charm and appeals to those looking for an old-timey yet still luxurious stay. The decor in the guest rooms is reminiscent of an English country estate, yet features flat-screen TVs, pillow-top mattresses and wet bars. However, the hotel's old-fashioned style doesn't sit well with every traveler: Some guests say The Adolphus feels a little shabby (and not in a chic way). But most visitors agree that the food served at The French Room restaurant is worth the rather high price tag, with some diners even saying that it's some of the best cuisine in the city. Plus, members of the Marriott Bonvoy program can earn and use points here.

    W Dallas - Victory

    0.5 miles away

    Dallas, TX
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 1088 reviewsTripAdvisor (1088)
Dallas isn't all about Wild West round-ups and cowboy couture; for those of you looking to add a little cosmopolitan funk to your Texas getaway, consider hanging your hat at the W Dallas - Victory. Located a few blocks north of the historic district – near the Sixth Floor Museum and a block away from the AmericanAirlines Center – this hotel offers luxurious digs without sacrificing convenience. Following a $4 million renovation, the newly restyled guest rooms at this W hotel feature 32-inch LCD TVs, massive bathrooms (with rainfall showers), pillow-top mattresses and cozy linens. The rooftop infinity pool consistently earns high praise: Visitors rave about the spectacular views and the poolside food and beverage service. When you're craving more than snacks, head to Cook Hall for a contemporary take on classic pub food or The Living Room for light fare. Recent guests do warn that the lounge can be crowded and loud at night, and the noise can creep up into guest rooms. And because this hotel is part of the Marriott hotel family, Marriott Bonvoy members can earn and use points here.

TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 2515 reviewsTripAdvisor (2515)
The Fairmont Dallas is where luxury meets location. Sitting near the Dallas Museum of Art, this swanky hotel caters to visitors who enjoy the high life, offering spacious guest rooms with pillow-top beds, marble-clad bathrooms, flat-screen TVs and iPod docking stations. Guests praise the lavish decor in the common areas, which includes marble floors and columns, decadent chandeliers and antique furnishings. Meanwhile, the hotel boasts an outdoor swimming pool and well-equipped fitness center. And last (but certainly not least), this member of the AccorHotels family received high praise for the contemporary American cuisine at The Pyramid Restaurant & Bar. However, recent visitors warn that indulgence has its price, noting that room rates are higher than other comparable hotels like the nearby Adolphus.

    Magnolia Hotel Dallas Downtown

    0.53 miles away

    Dallas, TX
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 3585 reviewsTripAdvisor (3585)
    Free WiFi

As its name suggests, this hotel resides in Dallas' downtown district. The property places guests within walking distance of top attractions like The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, the Dallas Museum of Art and the Nasher Sculpture Center, plus a variety of shops and restaurants. The property itself is also a landmark. Built in 1922, this boutique hotel resides in Dallas' first skyscraper and is home to the city's famous porcelain Pegasus sign. Though the hotel sits within a historic property, its accommodations are anything but dated. Inside the hotel's guest rooms and suites, travelers will find modern amenities like free Wi-Fi access, 32-inch flat-screen TVs and desks with ergonomic chairs. What's more, guests have access to a restaurant, a 24-hour fitness center and 8,000 square feet of on-site event space. Recent lodgers loved that many services and amenities – including breakfast, bedtime milk and cookies, an area shuttle and an evening happy hour reception – are covered by daily room rates, but some bemoaned the property's slow elevators and limited breakfast options.

    The Westin Dallas Downtown

    0.49 miles away

    Dallas, TX
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 260 reviewsTripAdvisor (260)
    Free WiFi

Recent guests of The Westin Dallas Downtown raved about the top-notch service and the modern, comfy accommodations. Decorated in neutral tones with textured wallpaper and large windows, the spacious guest rooms are outfitted with flat-screen TVs, iPod docking stations, work desks and, in select rooms, river views (a worthy splurge, according to past visitors). Travelers were equally complimentary of this Westin's property amenities, including its large, 24-hour fitness center and its indoor heated pool, which offers panoramic Dallas views from its perch on the 32nd floor. However, reviews of the three on-site dining options were more mixed. While most agreed the restaurants provided attentive service, many felt the food quality was mediocre, especially given the high menu prices. Luckily, the hotel's downtown location provides easy access to many nearby restaurants. And because this hotel is part of the Marriott hotel family, Marriott Bonvoy members can earn and use points here.

    Dallas Marriott City Center

    0.3 miles away

    Dallas, TX
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 703 reviewsTripAdvisor (703)

Though some voiced complaints about spotty internet service and occasionally indifferent staff, travelers agree that the Dallas Marriott City Center's location and room rates are worth praising. And its ample meeting space and full-service business center make it a convenient place for work-related trips, too. Whether visiting for business or pleasure, recent guests found rooms to be comfortable, with beds sporting crisp, white linens, flat-screen TVs and coffee makers. Sheraton Dallas Hotel

    0.41 miles away

    Dallas, TX
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 3163 reviewsTripAdvisor (3163)

According to recent guests, the Sheraton Dallas Hotel's location can't be beat. This massive hotel sits just a few blocks from the historic district and a short walk from the trendy nightlife venues of Deep Ellum. Guests also rave about the large guestrooms, which are decked out in cozy neutral tones (with a bit of red thrown in for fun). However, some travelers felt that the property lacks the in-room amenities that you'd normally find in a hotel of this caliber (like mini-fridges), and several guests note having nearly slipped in the shower due to a lack of grip tape in the tubs. Yet the hotel's friendly staff and ample facilities helped make up for the average rooms. The Sheraton is home to a spacious rooftop pool, a fully equipped fitness center, and several large meeting rooms (make sure to check the schedule to avoid running in to conventioneers). And when dinner time rolls around, you'll have four eateries to choose from; visitors say that the home-style fare served at The Kitchen Table Restaurant and Lounge is the perfect way to end a busy day. And because Sheraton is part of the Marriott family, members of the Marriott Bonvoy program can excange points for free nights and other perks.
