The West Baden Springs Hotel is much more than just a place to stay overnight: It's also a National Historic Landmark, built in 1902. The hotel's domed atrium spreads across 200 feet, leaving some to nickname it the Eighth Wonder of the World. Along with the 243 rooms and suites that overlook the larger French Lick Resort complex's opulent atrium, there are also a spa and the upscale Sinclair's Restaurant, as well as two casual eateries. Guests express awe over West Baden's appearance and other luxurious extras like access to golf courses and retail shops, plus a bowling alley, two pools, stables and a fitness center – the latter of which hosts classes. However, a few warn that room rates here are pricey. To cut costs, I Prefer Hotel Rewards members can redeem reward certificates during their stays.
