Le Mount Stephen has a reputation among guests for excelling at just about everything it does. From the in-room amenities to the customer service, recent guests had great reviews for this boutique hotel. Located in the lively Golden Square Mile in downtown Montreal, Le Mount Stephen seamlessly blends the old and the new to create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. The building’s neo-Renaissance facade is reminiscent of the city’s 1920s splendor, while rooms  are modern. The contemporary and tech-savvy accommodations include amenities like heated floors, window defoggers and chromotherapy rainforest showers. And that’s just in the bathrooms. Rooms also feature custom pillow menus (available upon request), 49-inch flat-screen TVs and Nespresso coffee makers. Suite upgrades include deep-soaking tubs, private balconies and electric fireplaces. Bar George, the hotel’s on-site restaurant is classically elegant, featuring intricate, wood paneling, stained glass windows, marble fireplaces and chandeliers. The British cuisine and drinks are infused with a modern, Quebecois twist. Because of the hotel’s age, there are not a lot of traditional hotel facilities on-site, like a pool or fitness center. However there is a spa, should you want to indulge in a massage, facial or one of the available signature treatments.

Neighboring the central train station in downtown Montreal, the Hotel Bonaventure Montreal hotel provides business travelers with ample meeting space and leisure travelers easy access to the city's top attractions. The rooftop gardens — which surround a heated outdoor pool — are a big hit with travelers, who describe the 2½ acre space as quiet and inviting. Most guests were satisfied with this hotel's rooms, which feature mahogany furniture, complimentary high-speed internet and 32-inch TVs. The Hotel Bonaventure Montreal also houses two eateries, which some praise for their regional cuisine while others chide the high prices. Many travelers recommend exploring the surrounding neighborhood for more dining options.
