If you're after Old World charm, travelers recommend the Main Inn's Original Wing rooms, which are outfitted with heritage pine floors, rounded doors and wood-burning fireplaces. Other accommodations are located in the New Wing and Spa Cottages and offer amenities like French balconies and hot tubs. A docked boat (which is located about 15 minutes from the property) with a kitchen and room for up to five guests can be reserved as well. All room rates include Wi-Fi access, a spa credit and three meals and afternoon tea daily. Though recent visitors praised the property's "quaint" accommodations, "gorgeous" grounds and "impeccable" service, the standout here is the spa. Featuring its own line of skincare products, the spa can provide everything from massages and body wraps to facials. Each of the accommodations were designed with a Shakespearean character in mind, and all include Molton Brown toiletries, deep soaking tubs, free Wi-Fi, fresh fruit and flowers, Frette linens and a wet bar. Guests love how spacious the accommodations are, too: each room measures more than 600 square feet. Outside your digs, you'll also find an indoor pool and a gym. When you get hungry, you can satiate your appetite at The Restaurant, which serves a formal dinner Thursday through Saturday and a Sunday brunch; The Lounge is open seven days a week. The Restaurant is known for its "superb" wine pairings and innovative Canadian cuisine, and reservations are recommended. And while guests describe room rates as expensive, lodgers say the "excellent" service from the friendly staff is worth every penny. The Bruce Hotel is located nearly 100 miles southwest of Toronto.
