#6 in Best Hotels in Quebec
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 6052 reviewsTripAdvisor (6052)

The palatial façade of the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac isn't all this landmark hotel has going for it. Upon entering, guests are greeted with lavish decor and sweeping views overlooking the St. Lawrence River and Old Québec (Vieux-Québec). The gorgeous scenery extends to the accommodations, appointed with cable TVs, minibars and Wi-Fi access (for a fee), though several recent guests thought some of the rooms were showing signs of age. But recent guests say the hotel's enviable location – a stone's throw from Québec City's top sites – is what sets this AccorHotels branch apart from competitors. Should you find extra time to spare between wandering the city streets and exploring historic sites, soothe any lingering tension at the Moment Spa. Or, if you came to tackle fresh powder, you have your choice of three ski areas – all situated within an hour of the hotel. Afterward, enjoy an après-ski cocktail or a hearty meal at one of four restaurants, as well as a Starbucks outpost on the hotel's terrace level, all of which garner high praise for their excellent service. Le Club AccorHotels program members can also earn frequent flyer miles for choosing to stay here.

Le Mount Stephen has a reputation among guests for excelling at just about everything it does. From the in-room amenities to the customer service, recent guests had great reviews for this boutique hotel. Located in the lively Golden Square Mile in downtown Montreal, Le Mount Stephen seamlessly blends the old and the new to create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. The building’s neo-Renaissance facade is reminiscent of the city’s 1920s splendor, while rooms  are modern. The contemporary and tech-savvy accommodations include amenities like heated floors, window defoggers and chromotherapy rainforest showers. And that’s just in the bathrooms. Rooms also feature custom pillow menus (available upon request), 49-inch flat-screen TVs and Nespresso coffee makers. Suite upgrades include deep-soaking tubs, private balconies and electric fireplaces. Bar George, the hotel’s on-site restaurant is classically elegant, featuring intricate, wood paneling, stained glass windows, marble fireplaces and chandeliers. The British cuisine and drinks are infused with a modern, Quebecois twist. Because of the hotel’s age, there are not a lot of traditional hotel facilities on-site, like a pool or fitness center. However there is a spa, should you want to indulge in a massage, facial or one of the available signature treatments.

First opened in an adjacent lot in 1830, the Hôtel Manoir Victoria was rebuilt on its current site in 1904 after a fire destroyed the original structure. Since then, the property has undergone multiple renovations and additions, including a spa, an indoor pool, a fitness center and eight meeting rooms. However, no elevators are available at this multistory property. For dining, there are two restaurants – La Table du Manoir (a buffet-style eatery open daily for breakfast) and the Nordic-inspired Chez Boulay - bistro boréal. Though recent guests enjoyed the hotel's cuisine, one of the biggest draws of this property is its 156 guest rooms and suites. Updated between 2013 and 2016, the accommodations feature gray color palettes with contemporary furnishings, heated bathroom floors, complimentary Wi-Fi and Keurig coffee makers. In DISTINCTIVE rooms and suites, lodgers can also enjoy fireplaces and Nespresso machines instead of Keurig coffee makers. The hotel's central location in Québec City offers another reason to stay here: Nestled within the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Old Québec neighborhood, the property is surrounded by various boutiques and restaurants, plus top sights like the Quartier Petit-Champlain, the historic Citadel and Morrin Centre.
