    Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek
    Dallas, TX
    5-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 833 reviewsTripAdvisor (833)
    Free WiFi

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts' flagship property sits north of the vibrant Dallas Arts District, providing the tranquility needed for a good night's sleep alongside the convenience of a relatively central location. Oil heiress Caroline Rose Hunt turned this mansion of a former cotton mogul into a hotel in 1981. Now, the property envelopes guests in elegant decor, with guest rooms sporting French doors opening up onto private balconies. (Meanwhile, the RoseBuds for Children program will ensure that your little one has everything he or she needs for a peaceful night, including kid-friendly bath products and a crib, if necessary.) When you're not admiring your digs, take advantage of the hotel's temperature-controlled outdoor pool and deck or head to one of the nearby parks for a little fresh air. And to satisfy your taste buds, executive chef Sebastien Archambault cooks up new American cuisine with French influences at The Mansion Restaurant. This five-star hotel gets rave reviews, with many recent guests saying the staff go above and beyond to anticipate guests needs. However, there are still some naysayers who – despite the hotel's recent renovations – claim there's room for design improvements.

    Hotel Crescent Court
    Dallas, TX
    5-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 691 reviewsTripAdvisor (691)
    Free WiFi

The Hotel Crescent Court provides an eclectic setting in the heart of Dallas' trendy Uptown district. Guests love the Hotel Crescent Court's opulence, though travelers feel that the property would benefit from some renovation efforts. Everything at this central Dallas property – from the paintings on the walls to the guest rooms – feels oversized. Families particularly appreciate the extra-large rooms and give kudos to the hotel's attentive staff. Parents can unwind at the spa or partake in a delightful afternoon tea: The property offers babysitting services as part of its kids program. Meanwhile, gourmands will enjoy dining at Nobu, which serves up an eclectic array of Japanese food. For lunch, grab a table at the The Conservatory and follow it up with a classy cocktail at Beau's.

    Grand Hyatt DFW
    Irving, TX
    4-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 2625 reviewsTripAdvisor (2625)
    Free Parking
    Free WiFi

The four-star Grand Hyatt DFW is ideally located at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport – at Terminal D, to be exact – which makes it a great spot to catch a couple of zzz's before hopping on that red-eye. This Hyatt hotel is also ideal for business travelers with its host of meeting rooms and conference suites. No matter the reason for the stay, recent guests appreciated the soundproofed guest rooms' plush beds and deep-soaking tubs, not to mention the friendly hotel staff. Should you feel a bit restless, you can burn off some energy at the rooftop fitness center and pool, or pop into the lounge for a quick nightcap or sushi from the raw bar. Recent visitors also praised the food and staff at the on-site restaurant, Grand Met, which serves up Mediterranean fare. When it's time to take to the skies, the hotel's access to free airport transportation makes it easy to get to your gate. And because this is a Hyatt property, World of Hyatt members can use points to pay for rooms or rack up more for later.

Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas
    Irving, TX
    4-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 2682 reviewsTripAdvisor (2682)
    Free Parking

Alongside Lake Carolyn in Irving, Texas – about 30 miles from Fort Worth and nearly 12 miles from Dallas – the Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas is probably not the best home base for sightseers. But according to recent guests, staying at this member of the Omni hotel clan is more of an escape than just a place to hang your hat. If your goal is to get away from it all, you'll find just about everything you need here. For starters, the Mokara Salon & Spa offers a long list of massages and skin treatments to ensure that you're relaxed and looking your best, and previous visitors say that the heated lakeside pool is the perfect place to catch some rays. And the on-site playground will keep younger travelers occupied. Though they say that the decor could use a facelift (describing it as dark and dated), visitors appreciate the large size of the guest rooms and the excellent views provided by the massive windows. And when you're feeling peckish, make a dinner date and enjoy a variety of flavors at Trevi's Restaurant. If you haven't already, former guests highly recommend joining the Omni Select Guest rewards program in which you can earn points toward free stays.

Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center
    Grapevine, TX
    4-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 1246 reviewsTripAdvisor (1246)
    Free WiFi

Even though DFW is in this Hilton's name, it's actually located about 22 miles from Dallas or Fort Worth in Grapevine, Texas. Catering primarily to business travelers, the Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center boasts 63,000 square feet of meeting space as well as a full-service business center. And because not all deals take place in the boardroom, Hilton staff can help you arrange tee times at nearby golf courses, or you can practice your swing closer to home on the hotel's tennis courts. The property also houses a pool, a jogging track, fishing facilities and basketball and racquetball courts. Inside, recent visitors appreciated the large guest rooms and amenities like complimentary daily newspapers and 32-inch flat-screen TVs. The on-site restaurants will keep your appetite satisfied. Despite all its offerings, some guests weren't pleased – warning to double (and triple) check your reservations and be careful of hidden charges. Travelers frequently complain of extra fees for parking and shuttle service, but because this property falls under the Hilton umbrella, you can earn and use Hilton Honors rewards points to help offset added costs and room rates.

    Free Parking
    Free WiFi

Previous guests claim that this hotel – not to be mistaken for the Grand Hyatt DFW – is a convenient place to hang your hat should you have a late arrival or an early departure. (But keep in mind that if you hit traffic, you're looking at an hourlong commute into Dallas.) To ensure that you make it to the gate on time, the Hyatt Regency DFW International Airport provides complimentary shuttle service to all of the airport's terminals, and Jett's Coffee Bar (open 24 hours a day) can provide the caffeine kick you need to get going. Should you need a little more than coffee in your system, you can feast on classic American fare at Mister G's or Jacob's Spring Grille and then burn off the calories in the heated infinity pool or the 24-hour fitness center. When you're ready to hit the hay, the Hyatt Regency DFW's hypoallergenic rooms provide a clean, healthy place to catch some zzz's. Guests were impressed by the accommodations as well as the pleasant staff that turned pesky layovers into enjoyable experiences. What's more, because of its Hyatt ties, members of the Hyatt Gold Passport loyalty program can use points for free nights or room upgrades.

The Westin Dallas Fort Worth Airport
    Irving, TX
    4-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 1474 reviewsTripAdvisor (1474)
    Free Parking
    Free WiFi

The Westin Dallas Fort Worth Airport is ideal for early morning fliers and those in need of some shut-eye during a long layover. Guests love the on-site amenities – which include a rooftop pool and a fitness center – as well as a free airport shuttle and 24-hour room service. Guest rooms are fairly typical of a Westin property in terms of looks, but features like the brand's signature Heavenly Beds and dual shower heads feel luxurious to recent travelers in transit. The in-house BlueFire Grille's Southwestern cuisine is also a perk. Yet not all travelers were wowed by this hotel, citing noise from the nearby freeway and cleanliness issues as reasons to stay away. If you do decide to stay here, you can earn loyalty points (good for free nights and other perks) through the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program.
