    Quinta Real Guadalajara
    Guadalajara
    4-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 243 reviewsTripAdvisor (243)

Upon entering this colonial-style hacienda, guests are transported back to another era: Stucco ceilings tower above you, stone archways mark the entrance to a verdant garden and wrought-iron balconies peer over lush greenery. Recent guests praise the manicured hotel grounds and on-site facilities, which include a swimming pool, a business center, a gym and the globally-inspired Tierra Mia restaurant. But while the hotel certainly has its assets, some say they wish the accommodations  featuring minibars, Salvatore Diptyque toiletries, pillow menus and iPod adapters  offered more natural light. Still, most report a pleasant stay thanks to the hotel's quiet setting. But don't feel the need to stick around all day: Quinta Real Guadalajara boasts easy access to Tlaquepaque's arts district and a handful of parks, museums and shopping venues. You'll find this Quinta Real property located about 3 miles northwest of downtown Guadalajara. What's more members of the I Prefer program can earn or use reward certificates at this location.

    Quinta Real Zacatecas
    Zacatecas
    4-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 374 reviewsTripAdvisor (374)

The Quinta Real Zacatecas resides in the grandstand of the restored 19th-century San Pedro bullfighting ring, located less than a mile south of Zacatecas' historic city center. This unique setting, along with the hotel's luxuriously appointed suites and attentive staff, make the Quinta Real Zacatecas a traveler favorite — even with non-guests. Suites are dressed in a classic colonial style with antique furnishings, original works of art and Hermès toiletries. Along with the period-specific accoutrements, lodgings also comes equipped with modern amenities like air conditioning and plasma TVs. But the real draw (besides the preserved architecture) is this Quinta Real's on-site eatery, La Plaza Restaurant. Lodgers say the cuisine is as pleasant as the surroundings. Enjoy views of the ring, the Zacatecas aqueduct and the Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Fatima (Our Lady of Fatima cathedral) while savoring local specialties. If just drinks will do, don't miss the atmospheric Botarel Bar. Situated next to the bullfighting arena, Botarel was once the holding space for the venue's animals before they charged into the ring. With its brick walls and ceilings, arched walkways and mood-setting candles, the bar offers an intimate atmosphere.

Housed within the walls of the former Convent of the Immaculate Conception – originally built in 1593 – the Quinta Real Puebla is located within the city of Puebla, which became a World Heritage site in 1987. Today, the 84-room hotel showcases its rich history by filling rooms and suites with period art, antiques and textiles. In addition to the historic elements, the accommodations are equipped with modern amenities like satellite TVs, Wi-Fi access (for an additional fee) and minibars. When you get hungry, recent guests recommended dining at Restaurante El Convento, which serves gourmet Mexican cuisine and features original frescoes and religious art dating back to the 16th century. Recent visitors raved about the historic decor and the central location close to shops and restaurants, though the service received mixed reviews. Camino Real Polanco Mexico
    Mexico City
    4-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 3.5 based on 1404 reviewsTripAdvisor (1404)

This Camino Real outpost prides itself on its unique design and expansive art collection. The brainchild of Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta, the Camino Real Polanco Mexico features a gym, three pools (which guests say are always comfortably warm), eight restaurants, a lounge and two cafes. Recent guests give particular kudos to Morimoto, the Japanese-Mexican fusion restaurant, but they also suggest sampling the offerings at Café Tamayo. There you'll be able to enjoy an impressive Rufino Tamayo mural along with your continental breakfast. And though rooms are designed to mirror the hotel's overall artistic vibe – with contemporary furnishings and a minimalist aesthetic – some guests say they're too simple. Design preferences aside, rooms come appointed with work desks, minibars and wireless internet access. Past visitors also recommend requesting a room within the interior of the hotel; the single pane windows don't completely stifle the noise of Mexico City's busy streets.

TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 3.5 based on 378 reviewsTripAdvisor (378)

Modern and stylish are two words you'll most likely associate with the Camino Real Santa Fe México. A pillar of metal, glass and marble, this branch of the Camino Real brand stands tall in Santa Fe, one of western Mexico City's trendiest up-and-coming neighborhoods and a hub for international business. Accommodations are outfitted with contemporary design accents and amenities like flat-screen TVs, high-speed wireless internet access (for a fee), coffee makers and, in the suites, luxurious Jacuzzis. While guests agree that rooms are clean and comfortable, reviewers also say they expected more for the nightly rate. Previous visitors also lament the high menu prices at the Japanese restaurant and lounge, Bar Kyo, though they compliment the eatery's views and overall ambiance. If your wallet needs a break, venture into the neighborhood. Santa Fe hosts a variety of fashionable restaurants and nightclubs. Plus, this property participates in the Preferred Hotels & Resorts reward program, I Prefer.

    Camino Real Guadalajara

    4-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 3.5 based on 308 reviewsTripAdvisor (308)

Stretching out across dozens of lush gardens from its perch in west Guadalajara, this Camino Real boasts enviable access to downtown attractions and charming outdoor spaces. Each of the Camino Real Guadalajara's guest rooms is appointed with a minibar, satellite TV and sweeping terrace overlooking the hotel's greenery and contemporary decor, though some recent visitors note the hotel could use a facelift. And to make the most out of your trip, you won't want to stay cooped up inside. The property offers tennis courts and mini-golf, though recent travelers say a main highlight of their stay was savoring refreshing cocktails while lounging at the four pools. As for dining, previous patrons give kudos to both on-site restaurants, La Huerta and Maria Bonita, for their tasty Mexican and global fare. Camino Real Pedregal Mexico
    Mexico City
    4-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 3 based on 285 reviewsTripAdvisor (285)

Ideal for road warriors, the Camino Real Pedregal Mexico sits in southern Mexico City, about a 15-mile drive southwest from Mexico City International Airport. While well-situated for working guests attending business meetings during their stay, reviewers say the hotel isn't as convenient for tourists. If you've come to Mexico City for sightseeing, consider staying at the Camino Real Polanco Mexico, which is located in a more tourist-friendly neighborhood. But just because you're not in the heart of the Mexico City food scene doesn't mean you'll miss out on tasty dishes should you opt for the Pedregal locale. Recent visitors say the fare at the two on-site restaurants, a bistro and La Huerta, is delicious (albeit slightly overpriced). As far as lodging goes, guests say the rooms at the Camino Real Pedregal are spacious and clean with minibars, coffee makers and satellite TV. Though most travelers enjoyed the extra space, many express disappointment with the steep internet and bottled water fees.

Positioned in the heart of downtown Guadalajara, this hotel lures working travelers with a full-service business center, ample conference facilities and enviable access to the Expo Guadalajara's sprawling exhibition space. Meanwhile, accommodations at the Real Inn Guadalajara Expo are outfitted with top-notch extras like satellite TVs, plush linens and high-speed Internet access. However, some guests do note that the rooms could benefit from some refurbishment and thicker walls, noting loud noise from the streets below can prevent you from getting a good night's sleep. Once you've settled in, grab a bite to eat at Stock Café, which offers a blend of Mexican and globally-inspired cuisine; for a light snack and libation, venture to the Blue Bar or take advantage of 24-hour room service. Should you start to feel a little stir-crazy from lingering on the property grounds, try taking a stroll in one of the city parks.
