    Quinta Real Monterrey
    Garza Garcia
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 340 reviewsTripAdvisor (340)

With all the luxuries of an elegant colonial estate, the Quinta Real Monterrey offers a charming atmosphere without sacrificing contemporary comforts. Situated about 4 miles south of the city center near the Plaza Fiesta San Agustín Mall, this Quinta Real property occupies a safe cocoon in the city's commercial zone. Its ideal location proved to be especially crucial for tourists who came to Monterrey with the State Department's travel advisories in mind. Guests also give special kudos to the accommodations. Suites boast Salvatore Ferragamo toiletries, colonial-style furnishings, hand-carved antiques, minibars and marble bathrooms. Some suites also feature balconies overlooking the hotel's verdant gardens and bubbling fountains. If you didn't book a room with a garden view, you can admire the scenery from the pool. Though some past visitors lament the pool's small size, they praise its beautiful design and peaceful atmosphere. You'll also find a tranquil ambiance at Los Balcones Restaurant, where live piano and violin music provide an ambient background for savoring Mexican and globally inspired cuisine. Though past guests praise the flavorful dishes, they caution that the plates were pricier than they had anticipated. If you're on a budget, visitors suggest heading across the street to the mall for more affordable dining options.

    Quinta Real Saltillo
    Saltillo
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 159 reviewsTripAdvisor (159)

Sitting about 5 miles north of the city center in Saltillo's industrial district, this Quinta Real outpost earns high praise from past guests for its historical design and attentive staff. Keeping with the style of the hotel's colonial-era facade, rooms are appointed with original artwork, minibars, plush robes and marble bathrooms; accommodations also feature views of the interior or exterior gardens. Travelers commend the spacious suites, but lament the hotel's industrial surroundings. That said, with the hotel's design aesthetics it's easy to forget you're in the heart of the city's manufacturing zone. Wide corridors are adorned with striking brass chandeliers, while lush shrubbery and flowers provide a peaceful setting at the pool. When hunger sets in, head to the on-site Las Vitrina restaurant and enjoy the elegant atmosphere as you savor tasty gourmet Mexican eats. If you're craving more cuisine variety, consider sampling the Saltillo food scene — just keep the U.S. State Department's travel advisories and safety tips in mind when venturing out on your own. And if you're craving a refreshing libation after your exploration, head to the property's La Cantina Bar.
