Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort
    Wailea, HI
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 7486 reviewsTripAdvisor (7486)
    Free WiFi
Directly overlooking Wailea Beach, the hulking Grand Wailea does everything big. Take the pool, for example: This beloved swim spot is a behemoth set of waterfalls and waterslides connected by a flowing river. Meanwhile, The Spa Grande's 50,000 square feet cover space that host a laundry list of treatments in addition to a fitness center with daily classes. Guest rooms here are also impressive: Each accommodation boasts its own private balcony, as well as a flat-screen TV and complimentary internet access. Although hotel rates here are already high, previous visitors highly recommend splurging on a room that faces the ocean, saying that the views are worth the lofty prices. Because this is a Waldorf Astoria resort, members of the Hilton Honors program can use points to cover the cost of an upgrade. That way, you can afford to splurge on a meal at the resort's super-scenic Humuhumunukunukuapua'a restaurant, which sits atop a saltwater lagoon.

Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort
    Honolulu, HI
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 17102 reviewsTripAdvisor (17102)
    Free WiFi
This sprawling, 22-acre resort is conveniently located next to northern edge of Waikiki Beach, offering access to both the sands and the downtown area. Features of the hotel grounds (like the secluded manmade lagoon and the tropical gardens complete with exotic birds) may be reminiscent of a remote Hawaiian jungle, but if you're looking for peace and quiet, you've come to the wrong place. The Hilton Hawaiian Village offers kid-friendly activities like snorkeling and sailing on the hotel's catamaran, and the resort also features 20 restaurants and bars to satisfy every member of the family. Meanwhile, the Waikiki Starlight Luau – which is held on the premises – is certainly a fun way for a family to spend an evening. Most travelers enjoy the long list of amenities, but others were not pleased with the high resort fee ($35 per day). However, Hilton Honors members may want to book a room here to earn and redeem points.

    Hilton Waikiki Beach
    Honolulu, HI
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 5089 reviewsTripAdvisor (5089)
Located about four blocks north of the Honolulu Zoo, the Hilton Waikiki Beach hotel is a great option for families. Both Waikiki Beach and Waikiki Aquarium are within walking distance, and the on-site MAC 24/7 restaurant is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Recent guests laud the location and attentive service staff at this Hilton. Also appreciated by guests are the rooms, which are appointed with Hilton's signature Serenity beds, island-inspired decor, flat-screen TVs and private lanais (balconies). For better views of the ocean, request a room on a higher floor; this will also help you avoid late-night noise from the streets below. In addition to a 24-hour eatery, guests will also find two bars, a pool (where one of the bars is located) and fitness center. Because of this hotel's ties to the Hilton brand, Hilton Honors members can cash in points for free nights stays.

The Grand Islander by Hilton Grand Vacations
    Honolulu, HI
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 567 reviewsTripAdvisor (567)

Although some visitors say finding this Hilton vacation club's entrance is a bit challenging, many praise its prime position by Honolulu's Ala Moana Center, its top-notch service and its well-appointed suites. All accommodations come with modern details like hardwood floors and wall-to-wall windows, plus fully equipped kitchens, balconies, in-unit laundry machines, one or more bedrooms and up to two bathrooms with bidets and separate showers and bathtubs. The Grand Islander's $35 daily resort fee also covers amenities and activities like internet access, loaner PlayStation 3 video game consoles, evening movie screenings and exercise classes. Additionally, travelers will find two casual restaurants, a small pool and a hot tub at the property, while the larger Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort complex – which all guests have access to – boasts multiple boutiques, 20 eateries, a spa, a kids camp and six pools, including one with Waikiki's longest waterslide. What's more, the resort offers a white sand beach and a traditional luau complete with hula and fire dancers, Hawaiian food and live island music. But remember, additional charges apply for the property's kids camp, luau and on-site parking.

    Hilton Waikoloa Village
    Waikoloa, HI
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 9228 reviewsTripAdvisor (9228)
    Free WiFi
Sprawling across 62 acres of the Big Island's coveted Kohala Coast, the Hilton Waikoloa Village can sometimes feel more like a theme park than a luxury hotel. The property boasts a variety of activities to keep visitors – particularly families – entertained, including dolphin encounters, three pools (one adults-only and one with a 175-foot waterslide) and evening luaus. And for a more relaxing getaway, this Hilton property features a 25,000-square-foot full-service Kohala Spa, as well as two championship golf courses. But despite everything this massive hotel has to offer, not all visitors are impressed. On one hand, visitors appreciate that every room here comes equipped with the Hilton brand's signature Serenity beds and private lanais (balconies). Guests also praise the hotel employees for their friendly demeanor. On the other hand, some travelers felt that because this is a megaresort, they didn't feel special and instead just one of the masses staying there. Others also complained of the high prices at the on-site restaurants. However, members of the Hilton Honors rewards program can save by using points to pay.

Situated on the east coast of Kauai – about 7 miles from the airport – the Hilton Garden Inn Kauai Wailua Bay provides convenient access to Lydgate Beach Park, one of the island’s more family-friendly beaches. Each of the 216 guest rooms features an ocean, mountain or garden view, plus a microwave, a minifridge, a coffee maker and complimentary Wi-Fi access. Alternatively, upgrade to a cottage for separate living and sleeping areas and an outdoor lanai-style patio. An on-site restaurant and bar serves breakfast and dinner, and there’s a 24-hour convenience store available for snacks and sundries. The grounds also feature two outdoor pools, a hot tub, a fitness center, and walking and bike paths. Most recent guests loved this Hilton’s location, next to Lydgate Beach Park; though, other visitors were disappointed by the hotel’s lack of resort-style amenities, like complimentary breakfast and beach chairs. Members of the Hilton Honors program should keep in mind that they’re eligible to earn and redeem points by choosing to stay at this property.

Grand Waikikian Suites by Hilton Grand Vacations
    Honolulu, HI
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 1519 reviewsTripAdvisor (1519)
    Free WiFi
An extension of the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort, the Grand Waikikian towers over southern Honolulu. Sitting on 22 acres of land, the Village is home to multiple restaurants, a video arcade and the Mandara Spa, so you probably won't have to leave the property to have a good time. But just in case, the complex is within reach of both surfer-famed Waikiki Beach and the challenging hiking trails of Diamond Head Peak. The hotel's one- and two-bedroom suites all boast full kitchens and dining areas, plus private balconies, flat-screen TVs and high-speed Internet access. Though with plenty of room to stretch out — not to mention several different pools to choose from — some guests still couldn't get over the high price for parking, and wish there were cheaper options available to guests. As part of the Hilton family, The Grand Waikikian participates in the Hilton Honors reward program, although it falls under the "Distinctive Rewards" category.

TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 5 based on 319 reviewsTripAdvisor (319)

The Ho'olei at Grand Wailea may not have direct beach access, but that's about the only complaint guests have about these luxury villas fringing Maui's southwestern coast. This resort adjoins the Grand Wailea and boasts stand-alone three-bedroom rentals with up to 4,000 square feet of living space. The larger villas feature covered lanai (patio) and outdoor barbecue areas, but all have full kitchens. With your rental, you'll gain access to the 4,850-square-foot Hibiscus Pool, as well as five nearby golf courses and an on-site spa. The Ho'olei at Grand Wailea is a Waldorf Astoria property—part of the Hilton family—so members may redeem points thanks to the HHonors™ Reward program.
