    • Free WiFi

This Hilton outpost sits about 5 miles north of downtown Ottawa in Gatineau, Quebec. Guests appreciate the views of Lake Leamy, but suggest bringing a car if you're planning on exploring Ottawa's attractions (the hotel provides free self parking). There's also plenty to do on the hotel's grounds. This Hilton resides within the same complex as the sprawling Casino du Lac-Leamy, so guests can easily access the gaming tables and slots. When it's time to eat, diners suggest a meal at the delicious French restaurant Le Baccara (there are also multiple other eating and drinking establishments on the premises). Guests can work off the calories in the hotel's indoor or outdoor pools (both heated) or in the fitness center. When nighttime rolls around, visitors can rest their heads on Hilton's signature Serenity beds in one of guest rooms. Each accommodation comes with a minibar, high-speed Internet access, an HDTV and a bathroom outfitted with a deep-soaking tub. And because of this hotel's Hilton ties, Honors loyalty program members can sleep easier knowing they're redeeming rewards and racking up points for staying here.

As part of a major renovation, DoubleTree by Hilton Montreal features recently updated guest rooms and reimagined public spaces. Guests will enjoy in-room amenities like 300 thread count sheets, blackout curtains, on-demand movies, Keurig coffee makers, minifridges and Crabtree & Evelyn bath products. Opt for a suite for more space and additional perks like bathrobes and an in-room espresso maker. Recent travelers noted that the rooms were spacious and clean. Another point of praise was the hotel's location. Positioned in the middle of the Quartier des Spectacles entertainment district, the property provides direct access to the city's underground walking tunnels (ideal during Canada's winters). It also sits near Montreal attractions like Place des Arts, Old Montreal and Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal. Though some public spaces of the hotel – like the business center and the Club Lounge for Hilton Honors members – are scheduled to undergo renovations until June 2020, guests can still enjoy the hotel's spa, fitness center and indoor pool (surrounded by a sun deck). Dining options include the SIX Resto Lounge, which serves dinner and cocktails, and Saveur, which offers a full breakfast buffet with an omelet station. Though most guests enjoyed their stays at this Hilton property, some felt the staff could have been more attentive.

Bilingual staff welcome guests in French and English at the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Quebec City/Saint-Romuald. Located at the bridge between Quebec and the city of Lévis, the hotel offers clean, modern accommodations for both business and leisure travelers. Plus, as a member of the Hilton family, this Hampton Inn outpost allows Hilton Honors members to earn and redeem points. Rooms include coffee makers, free Wi-Fi access and minifridges. Travelers can enjoy free coffee and tea in the lobby 24 hours a day, as well as daily complimentary hot breakfast in the dining room or a to-go breakfast bag for those in a rush (available Monday through Friday). Additional amenities include a business center with audio-visual equipment rentals, an on-site snack shop, a gym, a pool and free self-parking. Cochon Dingue, the on-site eatery, serves up Quebecois cuisine in a Parisian bistro setting, and there are multiple other restaurants nearby. Recent guests had great things to say about the property: They praised the location (about 11 miles south of Quebec City, across the St. Lawrence River), the service and the general comfort level of the rooms. However, one common point of criticism is that the hotel can be a bit difficult to find if you are unfamiliar with the area, so it is worth mapping out your route in advance.
