    Baccarat Hotel New York
    New York, NY
    5-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 555 reviewsTripAdvisor (555)
    Free WiFi

Baccarat Hotel takes the age-old style rivalry between New York and Paris and turns it on its head. Instead of declaring a winner, the hotel marries the cities' renowned aesthetics together, creating a grandeur that delights guests. Walk into any one of the 114 accommodations and you'll find it decorated in a minimalist white color palette with sleek wooden four-poster beds, marble-topped nightstands and cashmere throws. Grab a drink at the crystal chandelier-clad bar and you'll be transported to 1920s-era Paris, or get your blood pumping at the fitness center. Whether your preference is old or new, this hotel knows how to do luxury. Along with an indoor pool and gourmet French cuisine, guests can enjoy a chauffeured joy ride anywhere within 15 blocks of the hotel in the property's house car. The hotel is also home to the Spa de La Mer, which as its name suggests, utilizes the expensive French brand in all of its treatments. But what guests love most is the location: The hotel is four blocks north of Rockefeller Center and five blocks south of Central Park, plus the Museum of Modern Art is across the street.

    The Dominick Hotel
    New York, NY
    5-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 3402 reviewsTripAdvisor (3402)

The Dominick Hotel is all about customer service. Many recent guests say the staff at this property will stop at nothing to serve visitors, whether that means ordering signature stationery or offering room upgrades. And speaking of which, the hotel's 391 rooms aren't too shabby either. With art deco decor, floor-to-ceiling windows and deep soaking tubs, many travelers are hard-pressed to find a reason to leave. Though some guests did lament the missing bathroom door in some accommodation options, noting the hotel's style choice was not very practical. The hotel is also home to a spa and a few dining options, including Mezzanine for elegant American fare. Plus, right outside the hotel's doors is the eclectic South of Houston neighborhood, filled with trendy boutiques and art galleries.
