There are four Ritz-Carlton hotels in the Greater Miami area, and The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami happens to be the smallest. But recent guests said you'll find just as much refined luxury and winning customer service at this Coconut Grove hotel as you'll find at any other competitor. Travelers describe the expansive lobby as a treat for the eyes, thanks in part to its towering columns and swanky Victorian era-inspired furnishings. Meanwhile, the 115 guest rooms and suites are a bit more demure with green, red and gold fabrics and polished wood furnishings, with some offering expansive views of Biscayne Bay. (Visitors say that the higher up your room is, the better the vistas will be.) Accommodations also come equipped with marble bathrooms, wireless internet access, LCD televisions and iPod docking stations. But don't plan on hunkering down for your entire stay: The Ritz-Carlton also boasts a 6,000-square-foot spa, a heated lap pool and a 24-hour fitness center. 4.5-star Hotel Class
From its glass-bottom view of the outdoor pool to the funky DJs who spin tunes at said pool, this W likes to throw visitors an über-hip curve-ball. So needless to say, the modern W Fort Lauderdale isn't for everyone: Features like the see-through glass walls in the bathrooms and the loud dance music in the common areas might be a better fit for a younger crowd. But the atmosphere is decidedly more subdued in the minimally designed rooms, which feature comfy beds, flat-screen TVs and iHome stereos. Most rooms were recently renovated in 2016 to include chic blue and white decor. Although some recent guests bemoan the $35 resort fee, sun-seekers found this W outpost's location extremely convenient: the property is just steps from the beach and about 3 miles from downtown Fort Lauderdale. In addition to its shore-side setting, the hotel also boasts the AWAY Spa and a 1,360-square-foot fitness center. And because this hotel is part of the Marriott hotel family, Marriott Bonvoy members can earn and use points here.

    4.5-star Hotel Class
Not to be confused with the Bohemian Hotel Celebration, the Grand Bohemian Hotel Orlando is dressed up in cool shades of purple, red, teal, yellow and black, creating a comfortable elegance guests love. Many of the rooms are complemented by artwork, and there's even an on-site art gallery that features pieces from local and international artists. Guests love the customer service, noting that everyone from the valet to the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. And they appreciate special touches like the live jazz at brunch on the weekends. But the patrons at this downtown hotel tend to be a little older than those you'll find at many other Orlando, Florida, hotels, so this Autograph Collection property may not be the best choice for travelers with young children. But those who do decide to stay here will find the rooms to be comfortable (thanks to pillow-top mattresses, complimentary high-speed internet access and flat-screen TVs), the food to be good (at both The Boheme and the Bösendorfer Lounge) and the ambiance to be relaxing (especially at the Poseidon Spa). Not to be confused with its sister property, the JW Marriott Marquis Miami, this hotel caters to working travelers with a full-service business center and plenty of meeting space. But that's not to say that this member of the JW Marriott clan won't appeal to leisure travelers as well: The hotel sits in downtown Miami near Little Havana, offering a convenient location to popular attractions like the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. Meanwhile, the property features amenities that any guest can enjoy, including an outdoor pool, the SaLus at the JW Marriott Miami spa and two in-house restaurants. Guest rooms here offer modern amenities, such as wireless internet access (for a fee), flat-screen TVs and desks with ergonomic chairs and computers. Housed in a former federal courthouse, Le Méridien Tampa certainly sets itself apart from the other hotels vying for travelers' attention. Located in downtown Tampa, Florida, about 2 miles southwest of Ybor City, the hotel offers easy access to some of Tampa's top attractions, but past guests said the neighborhood surrounding the hotel could use a bit of a revitalization. Recent visitors were more impressed with the property's interior and loved how the hotel maintained some of the original fixtures and architectural details hallmark to the courthouse, such as the marble columns and signs denoting the judge's chambers. Travelers say the design of the rooms are a little less inspiring but still comfortable; accommodations are outfitted with contemporary furnishings and feature flat-screen TVs, minifridges and Wi-Fi access (for a fee of $9.95 per day). To enjoy more of the hotel's interesting interior, head to the restaurant, Bizou Brasserie, which serves French fare and fresh seafood dishes. This Westin in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has aced its color scheme – the lobby, beach chaises and even the exterior siding are done in calming blue and white hues. The soothing color palette carries into the guest rooms, which feature amenities like Heavenly Beds, flat-screen TVs and wooden furnishings. Even traveler complaints – like too few balconies – are overshadowed by praise for the friendly hotel staff. But if you're looking for privacy, the room's revealing slate bathroom doors are enough to reconsider. The hotel makes up for this oversight with its 6,500-square-foot Heavenly Spa by Westin, two on-site restaurants, an outdoor pool overlooking the ocean and a bridge connecting patrons directly to the beach.
