    Mokara Hotel & Spa
    San Antonio, TX
    1 mile to city center
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 1742 reviewsTripAdvisor (1742)
    Free WiFi
Sitting just a short distance from San Antonio's River Walk, Mokara Hotel & Spa appeals to business and leisure travelers alike with its elegant decor and long list of amenities. Despite its downtown locale, Mokara Hotel & Spa's rooms are fairly spacious, featuring four-poster beds and plush lounge furniture wrapped in neutral tones. Recent guests highly recommend reserving a Riverview Room, which allows you to look over the River Walk from a private balcony. You can also get a good look at the city from the property's beautiful rooftop pool. When you're not ogling the vistas, indulge in Mokara Spa's soothing treatments or take the advice of previous visitors and nosh on sustainable seafood at Ostra. Previous visitors say the friendly staff makes staying here truly memorable, but those bringing a car should beware of expensive valet parking fees.

    Omni Houston Hotel
    Houston, TX
    4.6 miles to city center
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 1966 reviewsTripAdvisor (1966)
Sitting less than 2 miles from The Galleria, these luxurious digs beckon to shoppers with high-end taste. Guest rooms at this Omni property look like they belong in on a magazine cover, with stylish gold and black decor and fantastic views. In fact, black is the Omni Houston Hotel's signature color: The hue permeates the hotel, from the property's pet black swans (yes, swans) to the swanky Black Swan bar and Birdies Cafe & Bar. But not everything about this hotel comes in such dark attire; the Mokara Spa & Salon, for example, appears bright and refreshing, while the outdoor pool and deck see plenty of sunshine. Most visitors love the feel of the property (in addition to its good looks) and appreciate its convenient Houston location. Guest rooms feature marble bathrooms, flat-screen TVs and coffee makers. Recent visitors do warn that all the superfluity comes at a price. Like its sister hotel, the Omni Houston Hotel Westside, the Omni Houston Hotel accepts and doles out Omni Select Guest rewards.

    Omni Fort Worth Hotel
    Fort Worth, TX
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 4373 reviewsTripAdvisor (4373)
Though it may not look like it from the outside, the Omni Fort Worth Hotel embraces its cowtown setting: Guest rooms are decked out in brown and red hues and sport decorative "saddle-style" blankets and colorful photos of the state's beloved longhorns. (However, some recent guests complain that the rooms were too small for the fairly high price.) Common areas, like Bob's Steak & Chop House, the Cast Iron Restaurant and the Whiskey & Rye bar feature sultry leather and wood furnishings. Previous visitors rave about the food served here, praising Cast Iron's breakfast buffet for its variety and Whiskey & Rye for its wide selection of drinks. This member of the Omni hotel family is within a couple of miles of some of Fort Worth's most popular attractions, but should you prefer to stick around the property, you'll find a heated outdoor pool and a full-service spa. What's more, members of the Omni Select Guest loyalty program can easily use their points for perks.

    Omni Dallas Hotel
    Dallas, TX
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 8028 reviewsTripAdvisor (8028)
Located in Dallas' Historic District – less than a mile from the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza – the Omni Dallas Hotel makes a great home base for exploring the city. Plus, with the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center just a short walk away via the Omni's sky bridge, this hotel caters to business travelers as well. While some feel that the customer service has room for improvement, guests rave about the Omni's trendy room decor, with bright artwork offsetting the rooms' otherwise neutral tones. Request a room on the upper floors to take advantage of the views, or check out the skyline from the rooftop infinity pool. If you're in need of some R&R after a full day of business or leisure, head to the in-house Mokara Salon & Spa for a massage. And if you're looking to score a free night or some discounts, consider joining the Omni Select Guest loyalty program.

    Omni La Mansión del Rio
    San Antonio, TX
    1 mile to city center
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 4546 reviewsTripAdvisor (4546)
This historical property has seen the evolution of the River Walk and, more importantly, has kept up with it. Originally built in 1852 as a school, the shell of this Omni has enjoyed a prime downtown location for more than a century. Aside from the locale, visitors also appreciate the ambiance, praising the exposed-beam ceilings and bright-red decorative accents in the rooms. However, some feel that for the high price they're paying, their rooms could be updated. But the Omni La Mansión del Rio makes up for its old rooms with ample amenities: While here, spend some time by the pool or at the spa (located in the Mokara Hotel & Spa across the river), or get out and about in San Antonio on an Omni-organized history tour. Some guests weren't pleased with the River Walk noise and expensive parking, but gave high marks to the cuisine served at the award-winning Las Canarias restaurant. But for most, it's the hotel's friendly staff that truly makes staying here a pleasure. And if you're a member of the Omni Select Guest rewards program, you can spend the night in this popular hotel using points. What's more, members of the rewards program get free Wi-Fi access.

Omni San Antonio Hotel at the Colonnade
    San Antonio, TX
    8.1 miles to city center
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 2326 reviewsTripAdvisor (2326)
    Free Parking
While the Omni La Mansión del Rio caters to a more sophisticated clientele, the Omni San Antonio Hotel at the Colonnade draws more families. With its two expansive pools and Kids Crew program, this hotel provides plenty of ways to keep kiddos happy. Meanwhile, parents can take advantage of hotel perks like private massages and the on-site fitness facility with features like a hydrotherapy pool and a sauna. The Omni San Antonio also offers a variety of different room types catering to groups of all sizes, and pets are welcome to stay as long as they weigh less than 25 pounds. Recent guests say this Omni fit their needs but didn't provide the 'wow' factor of hotels closer to the River Walk (it's about 10 miles away), although room rates are slightly lower. Most family visitors value the sacrifice of location for a better price. To save even more, become a member of the Omni Select Guest program, which rewards frequent guests with points that can be put toward free stays and upgrades.

    Omni Frisco Hotel
    Frisco, TX
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 193 reviewsTripAdvisor (193)

Omni Frisco Hotel, the official hotel of the Dallas Cowboys football team, rises 16 stories and houses 300 guest rooms. Located in a massive entertainment district, the hotel puts guests steps away from shopping, dining and nightlife venues. All accommodations overlook either the Dallas Cowboys Headquarters (The Star) or Frisco, Texas. Rooms come standard with coffee makers, bedside charging stations, 55-inch flat-screen TVs, individual climate controls and Wi-Fi access.  Be sure to visit The Edge, which sits on the fourth floor of the hotel and comprises a pool deck and a bar with views of the Dallas Cowboys football field, as well as cabanas, fire pits, hand-crafted cocktails and poolside snacks. Remember to arrive early though; past visitors say the area becomes crowded, especially in the summer. For food, Neighborhood Services offers upscale comfort food in a modern yet rustic atmosphere. (Both indoor and outdoor seating options are available.) Recent guests note that, because of the dining and entertainment options on-site and nearby, there is no need to venture into downtown Dallas (about 30 miles south). Keep in mind that Omni Frisco Hotel is a part of the Omni Hotels & Resorts network, so members of the Omni Select Guest program can receive perks like complimentary Wi-Fi access, free nights and more.

TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 1781 reviewsTripAdvisor (1781)
    Free Parking
Sitting around 17 miles west of downtown Houston, this Omni hotel isn't exactly convenient if you plan to do some sightseeing. However, recent guests were surprised by how much they liked this location. Rubbing elbows with Bear Creek Pioneers and George Bush parks, the Omni Houston Hotel at Westside offers easy access to nearby golf courses and jogging trails, and you'll have free use of the hotel's expansive outdoor pool and fitness center. Previous visitors love the newly renovated rooms – decked out in soothing brown hues, plush furnishings and large bathrooms – and common areas. Enjoying a sizzling steak at Café on the Lake (with great views to boot) is another must-do, travelers say. And because of its family ties, the Omni Houston Hotel at Westside participates in the Omni Select Guest rewards program.

    Omni Austin Hotel Downtown
    Austin, TX
    0.4 miles to city center
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 3246 reviewsTripAdvisor (3246)
Unlike its sister property, the Omni Austin Hotel at Southpark, this hotel is convenient for both business and leisure travelers. Sitting just two blocks north of rowdy Sixth Street, the beautiful Omni Austin Hotel Downtown provides a great home base for sightseeing, while amenities like a 24-hour business center and ample meeting space make it easy to work on the road. Guests appreciated indulging in other amenities like the heated rooftop pool. This hotel is also very accommodating of younger guests; If you're traveling with children, you'll find the Omni Kids Crew program makes sure that the little ones get everything they need. Although recent guests praise hotel staff members for their friendly demeanors, they aren't as complimentary of the food or prices at Ancho's restaurant. Members of the Omni Select Guest loyalty program can offset high food prices by paying for their rooms with rewards points.

    Omni Corpus Christi Hotel
    Corpus Christi, TX
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 3450 reviewsTripAdvisor (3450)

This Omni's waterfront location was the main point of praise from recent visitors. Situated in the Marina District in downtown Corpus Christi, Texas, the hotel offers spectacular coastal views from its on-site restaurants and 475 guest rooms and suites. Accommodations are outfitted with flat-screen TVs, coffee makers and Wi-Fi access (complimentary for Select Guest members); some rooms boast balconies. When you're not admiring the view from your room, relax at the outdoor heated swimming pool or work up a sweat in the on-site fitness center, which is also equipped with racquetball courts. And though the hotel's location puts you within easy walking distance of several neighborhood restaurants and bars, you should consider dining on-site for at least one meal, according to previous lodgers. The Republic of Texas Bar & Grill impressed diners with its steak and seafood entrees and rooftop views. The property also offers the more casual Glass Pavilion Restaurant (where kids ages 4 to 12 eat free) and Morsel's, a cafe.

Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas
    Irving, TX

Alongside Lake Carolyn in Irving, Texas – about 30 miles from Fort Worth and nearly 12 miles from Dallas – the Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas is probably not the best home base for sightseers. But according to recent guests, staying at this member of the Omni hotel clan is more of an escape than just a place to hang your hat. If your goal is to get away from it all, you'll find just about everything you need here. For starters, the Mokara Salon & Spa offers a long list of massages and skin treatments to ensure that you're relaxed and looking your best, and previous visitors say that the heated lakeside pool is the perfect place to catch some rays. And the on-site playground will keep younger travelers occupied. Though they say that the decor could use a facelift (describing it as dark and dated), visitors appreciate the large size of the guest rooms and the excellent views provided by the massive windows. And when you're feeling peckish, make a dinner date and enjoy a variety of flavors at Trevi's Restaurant. If you haven't already, former guests highly recommend joining the Omni Select Guest rewards program in which you can earn points toward free stays.

Omni Dallas Hotel at Park West
    Farmers Branch, TX
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 2050 reviewsTripAdvisor (2050)
    Free Parking
If you're looking to get a few runs in while on vacation, the Omni Dallas Hotel at Park West might be a great place to land. The property offers a nearly 13-acre lake with a trail surrounding it. The hotel also features an outdoor pool, a Jacuzzi and a sauna. And the hotel concierge will be happy to set you up with tee times and court reservations at nearby golf courses and tennis facilities. But recent guests do warn that the location makes sightseeing a bit of a hassle: This Omni is about a 15-mile drive (which can take upwards of 40 minutes in traffic) northwest of Dallas' city center. Still, many guests enjoy their experiences at the Omni Dallas Hotel at Park West, citing the spacious guest rooms – complete with pillow-top mattresses, snack bars and plush robes – as the hotel's best feature (though the comfort food served at Dover's Grille receives high praise as well). Guests also praised customer service, citing staff members' attention to detail as reasons for booking another stay. Members of the Omni Select Guest rewards program can earn points here.

Located about 10 miles northwest of downtown Austin, the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa isn't the most practical choice for sightseers. But golfers will be delighted by this premier Texas golf destination; it features four golf courses in the heart of Texas Hill Country. After you work up an appetite on the driving range, treat yourself to a meal at one of the resort's eateries. And if you have kids in tow, plan on a day at the pool, on the surrounding hiking trails or on the mini-golf course. Recent guests love this Omni resort's quiet location and large guest rooms, which include plasma TVs, plush beds and granite countertops. However, recent guests do warn that the service staff isn't up to par and that guests should be wary of hidden fees that can be added to your bill.

Sitting about 5 miles south of downtown Austin (right off of I-35), the Omni Austin Hotel at Southpark offers a luxurious stay without all of the noise that accompanies downtown properties. This hotel caters more to business travelers than tourists, offering on-the-go workers a 24-hour business center, postal services and free Wi-Fi for Omni Select Guests members (non-members pay $9.95 per day). Recent guests do note that the location is only convenient for guests with cars.
