Zemi Beach House Hotel & Spa
    Shoal Bay Village
    5-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 5 based on 322 reviewsTripAdvisor (322)
    Free WiFi

Recent guests said the accommodations and service at this resort overlooking Anguilla's Shoal Bay East are exceptional. Sprawled across 6 acres, the resort's 65 rooms and suites come equipped with deep soaking tubs, walk-in showers and furnished balconies with pool, resort or ocean views. Past visitors loved the spacious layouts of their accommodations (which range from 600 to 2,826 square feet) and the contemporary Caribbean interior design (think: natural wood furnishings with crisp white linens and accents). Lodgers were equally impressed with the outdoor infinity pool, which overlooks the ocean and is considered one of the world's most beautiful, as well as the spa, which is housed within a 300-year-old Thai house and features a hammam, rain showers, a juice bar and a meditation garden. The resort also offers a fitness center, yoga classes and a beach boot camp, but if you'd rather get your adrenaline pumping in the water, you can ask the beach concierge to organize water activities, such as kayaking and snorkeling. Though the resort's dining selection is more limited (there are two on-site restaurants), the property's convenient location makes it easy to explore nearby eateries. You'll also find three bars on-site. What's more, as part of Preferred's portfolio of hotels, this property participates in the I Prefer Hotel Rewards program.

Located on St. Barts' northern coast, Hotel Christopher provides luxury-seekers with an intimate getaway. Each of the 42 guest rooms and suites features neutral decor with pops of bright orange throughout and comes outfitted with a private terrace, free Wi-Fi access, a flat-screen TV with a DVD player, a minibar and Sisley toiletries. Previous visitors said they left this Preferred LVX hotel feeling completely relaxed as a result of the property's isolated location. High-end amenities like the full-service Sisley Spa and the stunning seaside infinity pool are bound to help you unwind, while the two on-site dining venues, Christo Lounge Restaurant and Mango Beach Club, are sure to satiate your appetite after a long day of swimming, sailing, hiking or lounging. Although most past guests heaped praise on both eateries, a few desired tastier (and less expensive) options and faster service. To save some coin while staying here, members of the I Prefer Hotel Rewards program can use reward certificates to cover the cost of their rooms.

Named after the Condado district in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Frederick William Vanderbilt (the hotel's original owner), the Preferred-affiliated Condado Vanderbilt Hotel has welcomed notable guests like Charles Lindberg, Bob Hope and former President Franklin D. Roosevelt since opening its doors in 1919. Featuring Spanish Revival-style architecture, the hotel combines modern amenities – such as multiple pools (including a beautiful infinity pool), a fitness center and a spa – with traditional touches like luggage porter service and tray ceilings in the lobby. Contemporary perks, including C.O. Bigelow toiletries, French press coffee makers, flat-screen smart TVs and 300-thread-count Rivolta Carmignani linens, are also available in the property's 319 accommodations. Plus, the property's daily resort fee covers extras like in-room Wi-Fi access and bottled water. For amenities like 24-hour butler service, a whirlpool tub and multiple balconies, guests can upgrade to a one-, two- or three-bedroom suite. Overall, travelers rave about the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel, citing its superb customer service, central location and picturesque ocean views as highlights. Visitors also praise the food served at Tacos & Tequila, Ola Oceanfront Bistro and 1919 Restaurant, although some caution that meals in all three eateries are pricey. To save some coin, members of the I Prefer Hotel Rewards program can apply reward certificates toward room costs.

This Montego Bay, Jamaica, retreat has been welcoming guests to its 400 beachside acres for more than 50 years. Each air-conditioned guest room and suite contains a cable TV, a minibar, a balcony or patio, a coffee maker and complimentary Wi-Fi access. Most accommodations overlook the ocean, but standard rooms and select suites offer pool and garden panoramas. Outside this Preferred Legend outpost's rooms, visitors will find an 18-hole course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., as well as tennis and squash courts, a kids area with a playground and supervised activities, a gym and the 68,000-square-foot Fern Tree Spa. Half Moon also caters to animal lovers; travelers enjoy watching recently hatched sea turtles return to the ocean, as well as riding and swimming with horses from the on-site equestrian center. When guests get hungry from a day filled with activities, they can venture to one of Half Moon's three restaurants. The eateries serve everything from modern Jamaican fare to traditional Italian dishes to an array of international favorites. Vacationers love the property's cuisine but warn that meals are pricey. To save some coin, members of the I Prefer Hotel Rewards Program can pay for rooms with reward certificates.

Guests say that the Preferred-affiliated West Bay Club's suites feel like a home away from home. Maybe that's because they come appointed with kitchens or kitchenettes that can be stocked with groceries prior to arrival –if you opt (and pay) for it. Or maybe it's the free wireless internet access and flat-screen TV that keep you connected to the outside world. Once you venture outside your room, you'll be greeted by views of Grace Bay and central Provo – certainly a break from the ordinary. Get out and enjoy the Turks and Caicos scenery with complimentary beach lounge chairs, snorkeling gear or Hobie Cat sailboats. At night, the beach turns up the romance a notch; duos can schedule a private sunset dinner right on the sand. If you're having trouble deciding what to do, visitors recommend chatting with West Bay's helpful concierge, who can point you in the right direction. However, some say service from the housekeeping and waitstaff is off at times. Others lament the lack of an on-site spa. But remember, members of the I Prefer Hotel Rewards program can use rewards certificates to pay for suites here.

Grand Isle Resort & Spa overlooks Emerald Bay from the island of Great Exuma in the Bahamas. Situated along a mile-long stretch of sand, this modern boutique resort is popular with honeymooning couples and guests seeking a relaxing, quiet getaway, thanks in part to its specialty offerings like couples spa treatments and private oceanfront dinners. In fact, the romantic retreat was featured on season 20 of the reality TV show "The Bachelor." But if you're traveling with little ones, don't fret: This waterfront oasis offers kid-friendly amenities, too, including free supervised children's activities, high chairs and an infinity-edge pool. For food, there's the Caribbean-focused Palapa Grill, which offers daily themed dinners like barbecue dishes on Thursdays and Italian fare on Saturdays. Though past diners said the restaurant's food was tasty, some felt meals were overpriced and bemoaned having to book reservations for dinner. If you forgot to make a reservation or want to save some money, each villa and penthouse (which can be paid for with an I Prefer Hotel Rewards certificate) has a kitchen for cooking. The one- to four-bedroom spaces also feature marble bathrooms, private patios or balconies, free Wi-Fi access and washers and dryers.
