Recent guests raved about the friendly staff, tasty cuisine and spotless rooms, though some thought the modern decor was a tad too funky.

Additional on-site amenities include a spa with five treatment rooms and a hair and nail salon and a poolside restaurant that serves locally inspired seafood dishes. However, many previous guests were less than impressed with the eatery's limited and pricey menu. Others cited the Hyde Resort & Residence's "mediocre" service and slow elevators as negatives, although several business travelers appreciated the property's location near the Miami Beach Convention Center and the Greater Fort Lauderdale / Broward County Convention Center. Both sit less than 15 miles away. To offset extra costs for valet parking, on-site meals and the $27.75 daily resort fee, members of the iPrefer Hotel Rewards program can pay for rooms with accrued points.

As for the resort itself, travelers have mixed feelings about the rooms: Many say that the spacious digs are great for families, while others note that in-suite appliances can be tricky to work. Each of this Preferred Lifestyle property's villas comes with a kitchen and a dining area, as well as free high-speed internet access and a private balcony. The resort also features a full-service spa and multiple eateries.
