Founder Caroline Rose Hunt first introduced the brand in 1979 before she opened the doors of Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas in 1980. But Las Ventanas al Paraíso's striking scenery is only part of its appeal. Travelers agree this Los Cabos hideaway is guaranteed to inspire romance. In fact, Las Ventanas al Paraíso has an entire department devoted to amorous guests, with specialists who can arrange anything from private salsa lessons to personalized couples spa treatments. Should you crave more activity, the concierge staff can arrange tee times at four nearby golf courses; recent guests highly recommend taking a swing at Cabo Real Golf Club, a championship Robert Trent Jones II course (located about a mile away from the property). And as far as dining goes, you can head to any of the five on-site eateries and bars.

And the 156 rooms and suites aren't too shabby either: Accommodations feature views of the hotel's inner courtyard or the Vancouver cityscape, flat-screen TVs, Nespresso coffee makers and complimentary Wi-Fi. The bathrooms are just as impressive with oversized cotton bath linens and heated floors. For extra pampering, treat yourself to a visit at Sense, A Rosewood Spa. When hunger sets in, the swanky Reflections: The Garden Terrace (open during the warmer months), serves cocktails and small plates. Meanwhile, Hawksworth Restaurant features a formal atmosphere and a menu with locally inspired cuisine. But when just drinks will do, kick back at the 1927 Lobby Lounge, which borrows its name from the building's original construction in 1927. You'll find this Rosewood outpost in downtown Vancouver at the corner of Howe and West Georgia streets (around the corner from the Vancouver Art Gallery).

    A member of the elite Rosewood hotel group, the Rosewood San Miguel de Allende has quite the reputation to uphold. Most visitors only have good things to say about the property, praising its central location in San Miguel de Allende, friendly staff members and high-end appearance. The hotel's 67 rooms reflect the city's colonial heritage and come outfitted with wood-beamed ceilings, handcrafted furnishings and local artwork. You'll also have your own terrace or balcony, soaking tub and fireplace (depending on which room you book). Previous visitors highly recommend an evening drink at the Luna Rooftop Tapas Bar, where you can enjoy fantastic city views. The Mexican cuisine at 1826 Restaurant also earns high praise; however, some caution that meals here can be pricey. Sense, A Rosewood Spa receives the same critique, though serenity-seeking guests found the massages and skin treatments to be worth the extra coin. The hotel also features a variety of activities (for an extra fee), including art workshops, wine tastings and half-day horseback riding tours. If you prefer to relax without worrying about putting a dent in your wallet, spend an afternoon lounging by one of the three hotel pools.

This five-star hotel gets rave reviews, with many recent guests saying the staff go above and beyond to anticipate guests' needs. According to recent visitors, the new restaurant is delicious, with some travelers even describing it as the best meal of their trip. Others heaped praise on the rooftop bar, CUT Above, which offers views of Georgetown, the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal, and the city skyline. You can also get an eyeful of the Georgetown scene from the hotel's rooftop infinity pool, which features a built-in fireplace. Though reviewers described the pool as small, they said it was a relaxing place to enjoy a cocktail. Other on-site amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, which is outfitted with a Peloton bike, among other equipment. For even more relaxation, guests can book an in-room spa service. Meanwhile, the hotel's 49 rooms and suites include hardwood floors, Illy espresso machines, Pratesi linens and 24-hour room service. Along with the prime address along Georgetown's C&O Canal, reviewers were most impressed with the five-star customer service.

This outpost in the Bahamas also boasts two pools, a 24-hour fitness center, two bars and Sense, A Rosewood Spa. Past guests described the pools as "exquisite," thanks to the attentive service. Reviewers also praised the accommodations, which are equipped with Rivolta Carmignani linens, Bahamian art, soaking tubs and furnished balconies. Those who splurge on a villa will enjoy extra space, plunge pools and butler service. On-site dining ranges from the seafood-focused Costa to international plates at Commonwealth. Aside from the long list of amenities, past lodgers were most impressed with the service, calling it "five-star perfection." Keep in mind that rates at this Rosewood are pricey, according to guests.

Reviewers gushed about both the beach and the pool, but a few expressed annoyance with noise from the nearby train. To restore a sense of Zen, travelers can book a treatment in the spa or partake in a complimentary yoga flow class in the fitness studio. Accommodations are equally relaxing, according to past guests, thanks to their airy design: think crisp white linens and French doors that open to a terrace with beach or garden views. Rooms, which start at 500 square feet, are equipped with Nespresso machines, marble bathrooms with freestanding tubs and semi-private terraces. The resort's six restaurants and bars received resounding praise, especially Malibu Farm at Miramar. If travelers wish to explore off the resort, they can make use of the hotel's house car – a Rolls-Royce Ghost – within a 3-mile radius of the hotel. This is just one amenity covered by the $45 nightly resort fee.

On-site activities include tennis and snorkeling lessons. Yogis and spa-seekers can sign up for lavish spa treatments and wellness classes at the cliff-side Sense, A Rosewood Spa. And you'll be less than a 10-minute car ride from hiking The Baths' grottoes. Recent guests give the resort's spacious grounds and resourceful staff high marks, but note that there are not many entertainment options at night. You'll enjoy more variety with the hotel's culinary offerings: Rosewood Little Dix Bay boasts three eateries, ranging from the casual Beach Grill to the more formal Sugar Mill. (Note: Rosewood Little Dix Bay closed in 2016 for a refurbishment and was hit by the hurricanes in 2017; it's expected to reopen in 2019.)
