Travelers were introduced to this brand back in 1937, when the first Sheraton hotel opened in Springfield, Massachusetts, and the Marriott-affiliated chain has been expanding ever since. Now a household name, Sheraton operates more than 440 hotels and resorts in 80-plus countries. The business- and family-friendly chain has acquired a loyal fan base thanks to guaranteed amenities like Paired, the food and wine pairing program available in the properties' lobbies or bars, and the Link@Sheraton, the brand's series of high-tech amenities like work stations and free Wi-Fi access. Meanwhile, families benefit from available babysitting services and child-friendly amenities, not to mention the Kids Stay Free program, which allows younger travelers a complimentary bed at any Sheraton hotel. What's more, members of the Marriott Rewards program can earn and redeem rewards points for free stays and other benefits at any Sheraton property. Sheraton hotels hold numerous spots on our Best Hotels in the USA, Best Hotels in Europe, Best Hotels in Mexico and Best Hotels in Canada rankings; the U.S. News-ranked properties are listed below.

Visitors enjoy the Sheraton Kauai Resort's friendly personality, which is propagated by welcoming staff members, as well as family-friendly activities like ukulele lessons and lei making. Guest rooms here feature wood furnishings, flat-screen TVs, Internet access and private lanais (balconies). Although the hotel's 394 rooms and suites are spread out across multiple buildings, all lodgings offer easy access to the ocean and a hearty chunk of sandy beach (Po'ipu, to be exact). This Sheraton property earns praise from travelers for its scenic surroundings and its ample amenities. The resort boasts two swimming pools (guests say that the oceanfront pool is worth a swim), as well as a fitness center and the full-service Hawaiian Rainforest Spa. Also on the property is the fancy RumFire restaurant specializing in Hawaiian cuisine. For an exciting taste of the islands, the Sheraton invites you to attend the 'Auli'i Lu'au, held weekly. The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa is located along the coast of Ka'anapali, built into the cliffs of a small cove near the legendary "Black Rock" hardened lava formation, one of Maui's favorite snorkeling spots. Most of these Sheraton rooms and suites also boast ocean views, as well as flat-screen TVs and private balconies. The Sheraton does impose a resort fee, but that gets you "free" internet access in your room, access to an area shuttle and more. A stay here will also grant you access to the Sheraton's pool and The Spa at Black Rock, not to mention several restaurants. Recent guests found the property to be "beautiful," the rooms "spacious and comfortable" and the service "accommodating and pleasant," though several guests mentioned that the bathrooms are tiny. And because this hotel is part of the Marriott hotel family, Marriott Bonvoy members can earn and use points here.

Sitting along Waikiki Beach's coveted sands, the Sheraton Waikiki is one of the larger hotels on the Honolulu shore. That can be both good and bad. On one hand, recent guests say there is plenty to do both on-site and off. On the other hand, some visitors say this hotel can feel crowded – not only are there dozens of travelers milling around, but this Sheraton's proximity to the convention center makes it popular with business travelers, too. However, many visitors are willing to brave the crowds for access to the Sheraton Waikiki's excellent location in the heart of the action. In terms of amenities, there are two oceanfront pools and cultural activities such as hula lessons and arts and crafts on-site. The hotel also features a few dining options to choose from, though dozens of restaurants sit within walking distance of the front door. Plus, members of the Marriott Bonvoy program can earn and redeem points here.
