The northeastern Florida seaside community of Ponte Vedra Beach – due southeast of Jacksonville – is known for its super-luxe resorts. And like its sister property, The Lodge & Club at Ponte Vedra Beach, the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club gets kudos for its attentive staff and choice amenities. Accommodations here are spacious and come equipped with conveniences like coffee makers, flat-screen TVs and high-speed wireless internet access (which the $29 daily resort fee covers). When you feel hunger pangs coming on, you can sit down to dinner at the Seahorse Grille, which serves up fresh seafood alongside spectacular ocean views. The Ponte Vedra Inn also has a pastry chef on staff who makes homemade ice cream, which is served in the bistro-style Gourmet Shop. And for a hearty serving of R&R, guests recommend spending time at the 30,000-square-foot spa. However, for many guests, it's the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club's customer service that makes them want to come back. Travelers describe the staff here as superb.

This Mediterranean-themed, boutique hotel in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida – which sits 23 miles southeast of Jacksonville and 25 miles north of St. Augustine – wows both romancing couples and young families. Several guests praise the relaxing vibe and the personal attention they receive from the staff members, while others rave about the oceanfront rooms, which feature private terraces or patios and marble bathrooms. But don't let other travelers tell you what to think. Consider The Lodge & Club at Ponte Vedra Beach's heated swimming pools and scrumptious cuisine at the three restaurants – then form your own conclusions. One thing to consider, though, is that space here is fairly limited. A $29 daily resort fee also applies. If you're looking for more room to spread out, opt to stay at The Lodge's sister property, the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. It's located right down the road.

Travelers say that One Ocean Resort & Spa goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service. Valets remember your name and room number when you return from a busy day of sightseeing, and the bartender in Azurea's lounge has started mixing your favorite drink before you've even had a chance to order it. On the whole, visitors say the staff members here incredibly friendly and helpful. On-site amenities at this property include a spa (with a varied treatment menu), a 24-hour fitness center, a pool and a restaurant that dishes out fresh seafood. When it comes to the accommodations, all 193 guest rooms and suites boast floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the Atlantic Ocean, though standard rooms have limited views. Modern conveniences like flat-screen televisions, Keurig coffee makers, Molton Brown toiletries and Wi-Fi access come standard in all rooms and suites. Keep in mind, there is a nightly $38 resort fee on top of the room rate (which guests bemoaned). The resort fee covers morning coffee and tea, in-room snacks and bottled water, access to two bicycles for two hours a day, and beach equipment like chairs and an umbrella. The hotel also charges a nightly $30 valet parking fee; no self-parking is available. You'll find the One Ocean Resort & Spa in Atlantic Beach, Florida, about 15 miles due east of downtown Jacksonville.
