Boasting striking views of the Caribbean Sea from its seat in Trinidad and Tobago's central Port of Spain area, the Hyatt Regency Trinidad earned high praise from recent guests. For some travelers, the delectable (albeit pricey) cuisine served at Waterfront (the main restaurant), the Sushi Bar, the Lobby Lounge and the Infinity Pool Bar were right on the mark; for others, the comfortable guest rooms (outfitted in neutral tones and equipped with 65-inch LCD TVs, free Wi-Fi access and Pharmacopia toiletries) made their stays memorable. Though the Hyatt Regency Trinidad boasts ample amenities for business travelers, the hotel takes care of vacationers, too, with a rooftop pool overlooking the harbor, a spa and Hyatt's StayFit gym. Another bonus: Members of the World of Hyatt rewards program can rack up or cash in points here. - View all PhotosMagdalena Grand Beach & Golf ResortTobago4.0-star Hotel Class4.0-star Hotel Class

Surrounded by the lush landscape of the 750-acre Tobago Plantations Estate, this grand resort offers guests an authentic taste of Trinidad and Tobago. The Magdalena Grand Beach & Golf Resort's long list of activities includes bird-watching, scuba diving and tennis. Those looking for a traditional resort stay will be satisfied with the property's three swimming pools (one is adults-only), 18-hole golf course and fully equipped fitness center. Recent guests loved the friendly staff and beautiful grounds, although many said the rooms could use a refresh. Each accommodation offers a minifridge, a coffee maker, a separate shower and bathtub, a flat-screen TV and a private balcony or terrace overlooking Little Rockly Bay. Reviewers also give mixed feedback about the five on-site eateries. Some raved about the food, while others lamented the limited selections and hours. - View all PhotosBacolet Beach ClubTobago4.0-star Hotel Class4.0-star Hotel Class

Sitting a couple miles southeast of Scarborough along the shores of Trinidad and Tobago's Rockly Bay, this boutique hotel offers guests a taste of true seclusion. Boasting just 60 rooms and suites separated from the property's facilities by verdant tropical gardens, Bacolet Beach Club earns high praise from recent guests for its relaxed atmosphere. Every room looks out over the Caribbean Sea and comes equipped with a canopied four-poster bed, marble floors, a balcony or patio and modern amenities like free Wi-Fi access and a flat-screen TV. However, some recent guests said that the hotel's standard accommodations are outdated. Others raved about Bacolet's wooden-decked pool area – complete with poolside drink service from The RoK beach bar – and prime shoreline access. Though the hotel is a bit of a trek to nearby off-site restaurants, the in-house Café Havana satisfies appetites with its unique Cuban, Asian and Creole specialties.
