For additional square footage and extras like a wet bar, a minifridge and a dining table, guests can upgrade to one of the property's two suites. Outside the accommodations, visitors will find a fitness studio, a cafe, two bars and Tiny Lou's, a French-American brasserie. Patrons highly recommend all of the on-site food and drink outlets, especially the rooftop bar, which boasts stunning city vistas.

There's no on-site restaurant, but recent visitors said the free evening happy hour was a great perk and that the hotel's location puts guests within walking distance of several downtown Savannah eateries.

However, some recommended asking for a higher-level suite since first-floor accommodations lack ocean views.

Additionally, Foxhall Resort offers designated areas for all kinds of recreational activities, such as hunting, canoeing, archery, tennis and hiking. What's more, it boasts four swimming pools, a sports lawn and a driving range. When you're not tying the knot or reconnecting with nature, sit for a meal in The Paddock. The cozy eatery – which boasts vaulted ceilings with wooden beams, floor-to-ceiling windows and a stone fireplace – specializes in farm-to-table fare that highlights fresh game meats (think: wild boar, duck and bison) and seasonal, locally sourced vegetables. Then, unwind in your light-filled room. Every accommodation measures at least 500 square feet and features a white and gray or beige color scheme, wooden furnishings, hardwood floors and lake or garden views. Standard amenities include flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi access, wet bars and screened-in porches or balconies. You'll find Foxhall Resort about 35 miles southwest of Atlanta in Douglasville, Georgia.

Recent guests appreciate the size of the rooms, though some say the rooms could use some more TLC. When you need a jolt of energy, you can head to the outdoor pool (weather permitting) or the fitness center, or grab a bite to eat at the Lobby Bar & Bistro at TWELVE restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. When it comes to service, guests say it was a mixed bag. While some visitors reported interacting with nothing but friendly and helpful staff, others had different, unpleasant experiences.

Although recent guests praise this hotel, they do warn that the Glenn is subject to downtown noise during the night, and note that the housekeeping staff isn't very thorough. Because the Glenn is a member of the Marriott family, Marriott Rewards members can earn and redeem points here.
