If you came to Boston to sightsee, then this isn't the best hotel for you; however, The Charles Hotel offers travelers laid-back luxury in picturesque Cambridge, Massachusetts. And considering its location, you can expect a taste of the Ivy League. The Charles Hotel's guest rooms are adorned with wooden furniture and custom quilts. And right outside your spacious digs are cafes and bars that are popular stomping grounds for young academics and future world leaders. Plus, you'll find intimate bars like Noir and Regattabar and fine dining establishments like Benedetto and Henrietta's Table at the hotel, too. You'll need a thick wallet to enjoy The Charles and all of its luxurious offerings. Just as its name suggests, the Hyatt Regency Cambridge affords beautiful views of the Boston skyline from its perch on the Charles River Basin. Although its located on the edge of MIT's campus, it's slightly more removed from some of Boston's top things to do. You'll probably need a car, however, as some vacationers have complained about the hassle of trying to reach the city without one. When it comes to the hotel itself, guests can stay busy in the Atlantis Sports Club, go for a swim at the indoor pool or grab a meal at Zephyr on the Charles. One consistent crowd-pleaser: The simply styled, spacious accommodations feature iPod docking stations, plush bedding, coffee makers and 37-inch flat-screen TVs. Though some visitors were less than pleased with service at the front desk and dated guest rooms they encountered during their stays. As part of the Hyatt clan, this Regency outpost allows Gold Passport holders to enjoy extra perks, such as complimentary nights, for opting to stay here. - View all PhotosLe Méridien Cambridge - MITCambridge, MA1.1 miles to city center4.0-star Hotel Class4.0-star Hotel Class
