    Georgian Court Hotel
    Vancouver, BC
    1.1 miles to city center
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 3089 reviewsTripAdvisor (3089)
    Free WiFi
Sitting directly across the street from BC Place (Vancouver's multipurpose arena), The Georgian Court Hotel offers a convenient home base for event attendees. However, if you're not in town for a game or concert, previous guests say the hotel's location — at the south end of Robson Street — is a bit farther from downtown and some of Vancouver's attractions. Location aside, guests describe the accommodations as spacious and well-appointed with minifridges, flat-screen TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi access and Beekman 1802 bath amenities. Female travelers should consider booking a room on the women-only Orchid Floor. Accommodations on this floor come equipped with extra amenities (free of charge) like a curling iron in the bathroom, satin padded hangers and a ladies "emergency kit." When your stomach starts to rumble, you'll find plenty of restaurants on Robson Street (not to mention a string of chic shops). But if you would rather dine on-site, guests recommend grabbing a table at Frankie's Italian Kitchen or sampling smaller bites at Frankie's Jazz Club. Though the menus lean toward the pricey side, travelers say Frankie's masters its Italian dishes. If you're a member of Best Western Rewards, you're in luck: You can earn points by staying at this property.

    Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel
    Vancouver, BC
    1.6 miles to city center
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 2133 reviewsTripAdvisor (2133)
Located less than a mile west of the Canada Place cruise ship terminal, the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel makes a convenient home base for cruisers and non-cruisers alike. Thanks to this Marriott outpost's proximity to Gastown (less than a mile south of the hotel), you won't have to go far for delicious meals. If you prefer to stick close to the hotel, visitors say the menu at the Showcase Restaurant and Bar is delicious, albeit pricey. Meanwhile, accommodations boast Marriott's signature Revive Collection bedding, floor-to-ceiling windows and spacious bathrooms. Recent guests recommend requesting a room with views of the harbor and North Shore Mountains, saying that the spectacular views justify the price tag. However, if you're a Marriott Bonvoy member, you can cash in your points for a free night or save them for a future stay. And while you won't find a spa here, you can relax at a 52-foot-long indoor pool or work up a sweat at the fitness center.
