    4-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 2132 reviewsTripAdvisor (2132)
    Free WiFi

According to recent visitors, the location of the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis can't be beat. Across the street from the Indiana Convention Center and less than a mile from Victory Field, this Hyatt outpost offers a convenient home base for exploring downtown Indy. Recent guests also said the hotel's address makes it easy to sample the downtown dining scene, but they also recommended making reservations at The Eagle's Nest. Lodgers praise the on-site eatery for its menu of classic American dishes, but also for the unbeatable skyline views – the restaurant sits at the top of the Hyatt and is the only revolving restaurant in Indiana. The Hyatt Regency Indianapolis also offers a lobby lounge, a casual venue that serves breakfast and lunch, and an on-site Starbucks. Reviews were a bit more mixed for the rooms. Some travelers described the accommodations as clean, quiet and comfortable, while others said the interiors could use a renovation. In terms of amenities, rooms are equipped with iHome radios, Wi-Fi access (for a fee), minifridges and 37-inch flat-screen TVs. If you want to explore beyond your digs, take advantage of the 24-hour fitness center or the indoor pool. Plus if you're a Hyatt Gold Passport member, you can earn or redeem points for choosing to stay here.

If you're hunting for a chic and modern place to stay in downtown Indianapolis, the Conrad Indianapolis is the way to go. Previous visitors said this property's location puts you near some of the city's best shops, sights and restaurants. Guests highlight the elegant on-site wine bar, Tastings, and the dishes served at The Capital Grille, but they don't enjoy the hefty cost of valet parking. This Conrad also contains the Evan Todd Spa & Salon and a well-equipped fitness center. Meanwhile, guest rooms include 42-inch flat-screen TVs, pillow menus and city views. And thanks to its Hilton ties, members of the Hilton Honors program can earn or redeem points here.

The JW Marriott Indianapolis is tucked downtown, near White River State Park and within walking distance of Lucas Oil Stadium and Victory Field. Most applaud this hotel for everything from its top-notch facilities, including a pool and gym, to the comfy rooms. The staff members also receive praise for their friendliness and helpfulness. Keep in mind that this JW Marriott is a large conference hotel, so you could be inundated with a river of conventioneers. The Westin Indianapolis
    Indianapolis, IN
    4-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 1603 reviewsTripAdvisor (1603)

The Westin Indianapolis is located downtown on South Capitol Avenue, less than a mile from Lucas Oil Stadium. And per usual, guests are impressed by its comfortable Heavenly beds and its in-room flat-screen TVs. But some say that it doesn't offer any overly impressive services or amenities. Guests also say the that the hotel can be difficult to find if you're relying on a GPS and recommend calling ahead to double-check the street address. So, considering the expense, you might be better served at another, cheaper area hotel. Recent visitors do say that the on-site steakhouse, Shula's, is delicious, but pricey. And because this hotel is part of the Marriott hotel family, Marriott Bonvoy members can earn and use points here.
