A week trip un Sheraton

Aug 12th, 2019

We are here for a week. It has been 4 days past now and we are so satisfying. The hotel is located at a very good place near subway trains and bus. At the hotel you have everything you need and the housekeeping are so nice if you need anything especially Xiao Ping who has helped us in many ways. The last thing maybe a little bit deceiving is thé swimmingpool which is too small for several person. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

So bad we didn't stay the whole time

Aug 9th, 2019

We originally booked two nights but cancelled after the first night because the Sheraton was a mess and definitely not worth the cost. First impressions, lobby is under construction and a mess. Walking around is disjointed. We were there for a bachelor party with two rooms and they put us on two different floors; 11 and 20. The rooftop is not part of the hotel, is next door, and only opens at 1pm on weekends. With our room right next to the elevator, it was loud and we heard it periodically through the night. Valet parking is expensive. If you do go to the Sheraton, do it yourself around the corner. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool / hot tub looked nice but we did not partake. Typical US Sheraton, Nothing More Nothing Less

Aug 3rd, 2019

The lobby was under renovation and a bit of a mess to check in. Temporary entrance not well marked. Typical NYC brusqueness from front desk. Room was clean and relatively updated, and we got a nice upgrade due to Marriott status so quite spacious by NYC standards. TV was as big as King Kong. Typical comfy Sheraton bed and bedding. HVAC system pretty loud and didn't hold temp well. Main letdown for us was the so-called executive lounge. Very poor breakfast about as good as the free one you get at a motel. Food was not hot, very little selection and what they had was not worth eating. Poorly staffed with no help in sight and you were I suppose expected to clean your own plates and pile them in a dirty dishbin. More like a school cafeteria experience than an executive lounge but still giving four stars because location and property are decent and because like I said, US Sheraton lounges are generally so pathetic. Xiao Ping - lovely cleaning lady!

Jul 23rd, 2019

Xiao Ping was so nice, and extremely helpful. Definitely made my stay a lot more comfortable. Would certainly recommend! She was very attentive, cleaned the room quickly, and was very accommodating to the various schedule changes my boyfriend and I had. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very quiet hotel in a busy area

Jul 7th, 2019

Visited over the July 4th long weekend and was pleasantly surprised by the Sheraton. We drove and were able to find parking on the street, 4 blocks over from hotel. Checking in went very smoothly and were pleasantly surprised by our king bed suite. Very comfortable bed, even sleep sofa in front area, was not too bad. It was very hot, but our air conditioning worked well, it was a little loud, but we like that because it was like white noise. Our room was right over the entrance (not much to see), but late at night we could hear some noise, though it didn't bother us too much. The housekeeping staff were wonderful, very efficient and friendly. The only complaint is the pool isn't open during the day, during the week. I like to swim a little in the mornings and couldn't, only on the weekends, but not until 10 (10-10 it was open), very weird time for a hotel pool. I didn't like that. Oh, the other problem was the remotes for the TV's (one in bedroom, one in sitting room), the TV's were nice and big, but remotes didn't work well at all. Should have ones with a guide, very slow changing channels. Very convenient to many stores, target, food court, fulton mall. At night, it doesn't feel like the safest area, as a single woman, I may not want to walk home to hotel at night, uber, taxi or lyft. Nice price for what we got. Will definetely stay again.
