Amazing location sunsets, bay, and rock!

Aug 15th, 2020

We have stayed here many times, and it continues to be a great location. At the end of the hustle and bustle of the embarcadero, it is quiet and relaxing. Balconies provide great views, of the bay, the Rock, and sunsets. Sounds of seals, birds, foghorns... a lot of fun! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Room with view for us and dogs!

Aug 5th, 2020

This hotel was so great for us and our two dogs during these time. Friendly, super clean and safe. Large quiet room with view of bay with plenty of on sight parking. There was an elevator for dogs😀. Loved the location at the edge of the main boardwalk area but close to restaurants and Tidelands park. If you want to rent bikes, kayaks, or boards they’re right across the street. Plenty of outdoor eating restaurants within walking distance. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Clean and quiet

Aug 4th, 2020

Stayed here this past weekend, paid for the room online and check in was incredibly easy, just had to sign. Had a large King room w/partial view, from the balcony I was able to see the water and the boats over the tops of the small houses across the street, it was nice. Plenty of parking. The hotel is at the farthest end of town, opposite of the Morro Rock, but as the town is small, you are still basically in the thick of it. Easy to walk to all the restaurants/shops/kayak rentals/etc... The room was clean, and it was a bonus to have a refrigerator, even though it is very small. There was also a microwave and coffee maker. All the staff were wearing masks, they have hand sanitizer at the check in desk, and signs all over to wear masks when in the public areas of the hotel. Unfortunately, I rarely saw anyone wearing a mask when walking in the hotel outside of their rooms. Nice place and I would definitely stay here again when these trying times are over. Nothing flashy, but it’s clean and spacious and with an excellent location

Aug 3rd, 2020

By no means is this a fancy place, but the fact that it’s very clean (an even more important factor in these COVID times), spacious, comfortable, provides a great view right from the balcony, and is centrally located should be more than enough to convince you to book this hotel. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the small dining table set came in handy, and it’s always a plus to have a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. We stayed in a pet-friendly ($25/night pet fee) superior king with a fireplace and a full harbor view, and it was well worth it! We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony watching the sea otters and seals (bring binoculars!), and there were lots of restaurants, shops, and water sports activities along the street to cater to whatever mood you’re in. Morro Rock Beach was a quick 5-min drive, and there’s a sea otters spot on the other side of the street. A few minor cons: walls are pretty thin (but luckily, almost everyone respected the recommended “quiet hours”), water didn’t drain very well from the bathtub, and there was the occasional loud sound of rushing water from a neighboring room. Again, all very minor, and it wouldn’t deter us from staying here again. Lastly, and this is just a quick note. With the hotel’s excellent location of being right across the bay, that also means you’re gonna get the street noise from the often-crowded waterfront Embarcadero Street. Personally, we didn’t mind it as we loved the view, but it’s worth mentioning for those of you who prefer absolutely peace and quiet. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Extremely disappointed. Almost fraudulent!

Jul 31st, 2020

Don’t believe the pic.s. This should be a $99 per night hotel at best. Not beachside. Yes, the views are ok- over the top of the businesses across the street. We have a fireplace suite- it is dirty in the days Covid! The fireplace is hand cranked-and old kit insert ( I.e.not remote) and looks extremely worn as does the entire room. The bathroom light switch was filthy. More pics to come. Don’t stay here! We just checked in and they have already run my cc or we would check out!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
