Abode Glasgow

Aug 19th, 2019

The staff at the Abode were friendly and nice and tried hard to please. The reception area was quirky with an old fashioned lift in the centre. The Brasserie was good and I had a decent meal but unfortunately my room wasn't that pleasant, it was tall, narrow and dark and smelt strongly of damp peat. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Solo waiting

Aug 14th, 2019

Stayed for a few days in this hotel, the beds are so comfy, staff are really friendly and food was excellent. The only let down was one of the waitresses on both nights I ate I seemed to be forgotten about. Others served before me that came in after me on both nights, having to wait patiently with my menu closed for someone to take my order leaving me not getting my food until 45/55 minutes after I arrived at the table. I wouldn’t be ordering food if your in a hurry TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great hotel in the heart of Glasgow

Aug 13th, 2019

Helpful, friendly front desk staff. Clean rooms. Excellent morning breakfast. Great location - can walk to all the sights in Glasgow from the hotel. We had to leave before 5 a.m. to catch our flight home and the front desk made sure we had coffee to go! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hotel with character in the heart of the city

Aug 9th, 2019

This hotel is ideal for anyone who likes a place with character and wants a base to explore the city. We enjoyed the elegant entrance hall, the friendly and helpful staff and the historic lift which could be part of a film set. We had a lovely room, clean and tastefully decorated. Above all it was quiet at night. No noises from the street. No annoying hotel noises either, not even from the historic lift. In my experience that is pretty unusual. We enjoyed a very good breakfast. And had a great time exploring Glasgow, which was easy because of the relatively central location. We came without a car so I cannot comment on the car parking facilities. We used the bus to get up the road from the railway station. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A Night in Glasgow

Aug 8th, 2019

A very enjoyable stay at the Abode . The food was lovely and the staff polite and professional. Central for bars and restaurants . The room was quite small but had everything you needed in it and a good shower. Would definitely stay again for the Sunday night special Bed Brekkie and Enening meal £99. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
