Modern hotel in the heart of it all.

May 7th, 2020

I'm going back and writing reviews for hotels i've stayed at in the past to send some love and support during this difficult times for hotels. <3 I stayed here last spring on my first visit to Asheville because myself and my aunt were going to Biltmore. (Which is just a short drive away) The hotel check in experience was quick and friendly, the hotel and our room was clean and modern (AC Hotel's for the most part have the same room design for all of them, it's got a sleek minimal style), but i'd say the two highlights were the rooftop bar, restaurant, and patio. And its centrally located position. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast up on the rooftop and our server was great. Those views!! You get a 360 degree view and it was beautiful! The hotel is right in the middle of all the cute shops and wonderful restaurants, we ate a fabulous spot called Posana just a few blocks away. In short if you're going to Biltmore or looking to discover a charming town i'd highly suggest the AC Hotel Asheville! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Downtown Location

Mar 23rd, 2020

This is a luxury hotel located in the heart of downtown. If you've never been to Asheville, and you want to walk to restaurants, breweries and shops... this is a great place to stay. The rooftop has lots of indoor & outdoor space, very stylish. The menu appears to be solid. I was very impressed by the non alcoholic cocktails and particularly the home made ginger drink they made for me with the fresh ginger. Delicious! Hospitality desk, very friendly and ready to assist. Here's what I didn't care for... this hotel is a luxury hotel that caters to pets. I don't dislike animals but for the price of the lodging, being around so many dogs, in the elevators, hallways etc... I was not expecting to have that experience at a luxury resort. In order to cater to travelers with pets, the rooms do not have carpet. I'm sure this is to effectively mop up animal " mess " and accidents without staining carpet but walking barefoot on the floor in this new situation of heightened sanitation awareness, I did not enjoy this. It just felt like I was spending the night in a kennel. For that reason, we probably would lodge elsewhere. But for those who travel with pets, this is a great place for you! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We don't write reviews but this hotel....

.... was extraordinary. A multitude of factors.. but it won our hearts because the front desk staff were fantastic - kind, thoughtful, always attentive - and the welcome they gave to our dog was just wonderful. We were handed a really nice quality transparent plastic bag (with usefully long material handles), which held pet goodies like a nice solid water/food bowl and a newspaper called the Pet Gazette ! :) You don't think of a beautiful, tastefully modern hotel like this bothering to care also for your pet. There is a fabulous top floor lounge & bar area, part of which is outside with a great view overlooking the city. It shouldn't be missed. And there too we even got a warm welcome from the staff. They showed us to a nice quiet corner where we could sit with our little dog. The refreshment we ordered was just great. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Would not stay again.....

Mar 15th, 2020

We arrived the day after the President announced the ban on air travel from Europe due to coronavirus and the man who checked us in told us they had a lot of cancellations so we were hoping for a good view at least. Nope, parking lot. The positives were great location, clean public areas and a nice bar. We were in a king room and each had 1 carryon. Not enough room to unpack unless you used the long bench and wanted your clothes out all weekend. There is a sofa/love seat but you can only see the TV from the bed. Toilet paper holder spinning around on the wall, terrible lighting in the bathroom, slow draining sink and the rainfall shower didn't work (had to use the handheld attachment). Things like that would be obvious to housekeeping and they should report so they can be corrected. Housekeeping in general haphazard. Ice is available in small bags and is all frozen so hard it took multiple smacks on the counter to loosen. We booked here because we are Bonvoy members but will stay elsewhere next time. We did complain about the housekeeping issues and management did give us some additional Bonvoy points. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Exemplary

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of downtown-shops, restaurants, all just a walk away. The staff is one of the most helpful and friendly we have ever come across. Rooftop dining was very convenient and dog friendly. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
