Lack of Friendliness & Bad Logistics

I did not see consistency in good service. Some staff were very kind, while others took the arrogant approach. Around midnight, I asked for an additional bottle of courtesy water. The grumpy receptionist, mentioned he had to charge me 4 euros (for courtesy water). As a Gold Elite Marriott member, I've never had issues when requesting extra courtesy water bottles. When I reminded the receptionist about my membership level, he changed his arrogant attitude and proceeded to send the bottle. That is not genuine service. Any person regardless of their membership level, should be treated with kindness. Additionally, the hotel lacked sufficient towels for guests. I asked for 2 additional towels prior to check-out; I was told the designated staff had yet not arrived. A hotel of this category, should be able to provide this permanently. Would I go back ? Maybe, due to good location. Would it be my first choice in Madrid? Not at all. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

THe hotel is well situated for tourists and business travelers alike. It is just blocks from the park. Restaurants are located close by. IF you need some night life, just a 1Km walk away you are in bustling nightlife with shops, bars and restaurants. The only negatives would be the smaller room size and the complete glass bathroom design. Overall though, very comfortable and due it's location, you're really only in the room to sleep and shower. Enjoy your trip! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Weekend in Madrid

Great location and the staff goes above and beyond. On arrival I was dealing with a missed flight, lost luggage and jet lag. Not fun but the hotel went above and beyond and helped track down luggage and made some great recommendations for sightseeing and dining. We walked to everything and enjoyed our room. This hotel is small and has a boutique vibe even though it’s part of the Marriott network. We enjoyed everything about this property. Great central location, we could walk anywhere, Staff friendly and welcoming. Room comfortable, new and very clean. Bathroom had awesome water pressure for a really good shower. Internet was fast. I would recommend adding some usb outlets for charging. Great stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We loved this hotel and you cannot beat the location. You are 1.5 blocks from the Puerta de Alcala and right across the Parque del Retiro. Very easy walk to Las Cibeles and Puerta del Sol. When we arrived we took a taxi there, but when we returned from a day trip to Cuenca, we walked from Puerta de Atocha crossing through Parque del Retiro. The hotel staff is wonderful. Nothing is too much to ask them to do. The rooms are unique because of the bathroom being a glass wall, but you cannot see in. On the side that faces the bed it is a mirror with a beaufitul design. We found this very unique and interesting. They have a bar in the lobby that we used every night to have drinks. Twice a week they have a jazz show that now has a cover charge. We thought about going, but it was our last night in Madrid and we prefered to go watch the lights being turned on for the holidays, which was an amazing experience with thousands of people on the street. Loved this place and will definitely return. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
