Thumbs Up

Aug 9th, 2019

I came to Dallas to visit family. When I came to check in I met the agent by the name of Brittany. She was very nice, had a pleasant attitude and the check in was smooth. I also came down later to use the computer, the printer was not working but Brittany helped me get my document. She didn’t make me feel like I was bothering her, again a very pleasant attitude. She is a great representation of this property. She should be recognized. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The valet was a bit of a wait, but still good up until it was time of my departure. At departure the guy didn’t even offer to help with luggage. He just handed me my key and walked off. He did it so fast that I didn’t even get to give him a tip. Other than that this stay was definitely pleasant and I would recommend this property. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Poor attitudes and employees don’t do what they say

Aug 1st, 2019

I originally booked a room for 4 nights for a work conference, but within 6 hours of checking into the hotel I found another hotel to spend my remaining 3 nights in Dallas and cancelled the rest of my reservation. We arrived before guaranteed check in and completely understood not being able to get into the room early due to housekeeping still cleaning them, however, the front desk agent was incredibly rude when we asked if we could pre-check in so the hotel knew we had arrived. We were told we would be called when the room was ready and decided to go grab lunch. Guaranteed check in is at 3pm, at 2:45 we arrived back at the hotel to see if there were any rooms ready and again were told with a poor attitude that check in wasn’t until 3pm and we would be called. We sat in the lobby and waited until 4pm, still no phone call. At that point we asked what the status of the room was and we were told “it is your groups fault that you can’t check in on time. We had 100 rooms checkout and not enough housekeeping staff to clean the rooms.” First of all, extremely poor response to a question, second of all “my group” had to store their luggage before closing session started at 9am which means the rooms we’re vacant by 8am, third this is not the first time our conference has been in Dallas, nor were we the first group to come in, the hotel should have forecasted what to expect, and I can accurately say that having worked in the hospitality industry for 6 years with 5 of those being at the front desk. I completely understand the frustration of people wanting to check in and not being able to, however, having an attitude is the worst response to have in that situation. At approximately 5pm I again asked about the room and asked them to contact housekeeping knowing the system sometimes has not been updated with ready rooms. The housekeeper responded with approximately 15 room numbers that were ready and, “have been ready for the last hour and a half.” Once in the room the frustration only grew. The internet that is free is spotty at best, and I wanted to pay for the enhanced internet. When calling down to the front desk to ask how to reconnect to the home page I was told, “we are too busy to handle this right now and they would call me back.” There was not a call back, nor was the number I was eventually given for IT support even a company that works with the AC currently. The whole situation was beyond frustrating, but the most frustrating part was the attitudes from the staff and them saying they would do something and not follow through. If you want to stay nearby the Residence Inn is in the same building, with larger and nicer rooms, incredibly friendly and helpful staff and appreciate your business. Save yourself the headache and stay somewhere else while in Dallas. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Perfect hotel for me

Jul 29th, 2019

I liked this place so well that I came back the following year. A FANTASTIC breakfast, beautiful shower and rooms, comfortable clean beds, but best of all... the FRIENDLIEST, most CARING staff. I was able to check in at 10 am when I flew in. They had leftover breakfast they offered me because I was starving when I got here. The staff outside gave me tips on how to walk to places and where to avoid. The lady in the kitchen is SO SWEET and I actually remembered her from last year. There’s cold water in the mini fridge that’s free in your room. Did I say that the breakfast is amazing yet!? Honestly I can’t see any reason why anyone would travel to downtown Dallas and not stay here. I’ve stayed at the magnolia, the Omni, SpringHill, and Hyatt regency. They were all good, but this place was so good that I set up an account with trip advisor just to leave a review. Seriously, stay at this hotel! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

AC is a gem for Marriott

Jul 29th, 2019

This was my second stay in an AC hotel and I couldn't be happier with the option. It's in a unique location as it shares the space with a Residence Inn but the quality of the lobby, the moder features and clean look hold true. The room was excellent and it was a quiet stay with great staff. Thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to next time! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great hotel! Nice clean modern rooms

Jul 24th, 2019

Very nice hotel with clean rooms & vinyl plank flooring! Loved the flooring. So much cleaner! Nice bathroom with a glass barn door style. Super Cute! 2 shower heads, rain shower & the regular wall ones. Hotel staff very friendly. We were here with my sons Volleyball team so we ate @ odd times & when we came late to breakfast they were very accommodating. As they were putting food away they still served us some items left. We were super hungry & so appreciative! The 2 different kinds of quiche & a blueberry pastry was so amazing! I was talking about them the rest of the day! Sad to say I wanted to make breakfast the rest of r stay & it never worked out because of game times. Would definitely stay here again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
