Only reason why it’s not three is...

Jul 21st, 2019

The staff was incredibly friendly. I’d never been to Canada before and I was blown away by how friendly the staff was. I had trouble getting a credit card authorized and the concierge was super polite and patient with me about it. Parking was a flat rate and the garage was clean but I had to leave at a particular time before getting charged extra, which wasn’t pleasant. The room was really nice, but the lack of a microwave was inconvenient since my girlfriend and I brought back poutine that we wanted to have later and couldn’t. The bathrooms were also less than functional; it almost seemed like Marriott was going out of their way to make everything feel more modern at the cost of functionality when they started pouring money into hotel renovations. I’d recommend it if you’ve got Marriott points to blow but the cost of the room isn’t worth what you get. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Clean and modern

Jul 16th, 2019

We had a nice experience at this hotel. The rooms are very modern and clean, We had two rooms for a family of five. The view was nice and the location was fairly central to Old Montreal, Ste Catherine St and China town. We were able to walk a lot of places that we wanted to visit. The staff is helpful and really nice. Everyone spoke both French and English that we met in the hotel. They also helped us to purchase tickets for Cirque Du Soleil. The one issue with the room is the doors on the bathrooms are semi opaque sliding glass (kind of like a barn door) and you can hear everything that is going on in there so for a family this is not private enough. Overrated

We were there for 3 nights, the first took till 6p to get our room. TV was difficult to manage, called for help and said to use subtitles as we only speak English, well that didn't work. There was a stain on the top cover of the bed. The next day, she left us with no glasses or towels, called and asked we got towels and paper cups. Also, there was barely enough shampoo for the morning, that was not refilled, plus the heat was on at 75. Called and complained, it was hot out. The last night was much better, we stayed on points and got mediocre service. I would not stay there again. We had a king suite that was had a lot of wasted space when rooms are so small, poor utilization of the space, no separate sink from the shower and toilet, and they could have done that. Perfect location for Jazz Festival

Jul 15th, 2019

We booked this hotel for the Montreal Jazz Festival. It is in the perfect location if this is what you need- steps away from the festival, Chinatown, Old Port, St. Catherine Street, Complex Desjardins, the metro....The lobby is nice and modern, very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Rooms are large and comfortable. The upper floor has a fabulous pool that we loved, a hot tub, a beautiful fitness room, and a fantastic outdoor deck. It was very hot while we were there, and we really enjoyed a dip in the pool and relaxing outside. There are plenty of restaurants all around, and an IGA across the street for any grocery needs. I cannot think of anything I did not like about this stay, except we couldn't stay longer. I wish I could remember the name of the young man at the front desk who is a pizza conaisseur, he recommended a great place for pizza, Il Focolaio. We did take his suggestion and go, and it was fabulous. We didn't get a chance to tell him and say thank you properly, so Merci :) If we come backf or the Jazz festival again, we will stay here. Central and modern

Jun 26th, 2019

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The design is clean and modern which makes it look very nice and clean. Location wise it is close to old port and also busy/commercial streets. The staff are nice and helpful. It has a nice restaurant as well. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
