Repeat hotel guests for years.

A superb location in Philadelphia, the quality and cleanliness of the rooms, the adjoining "a.kitchen" restaurant, and the size and ambiance of the hotel have always contributed to a phenomenal stay, but the main reason for the hotel's excellence is absolutely the incredible management and staff. They make you feel like you are personal guests in their homes. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Absolutely brilliant location at the corner of Rittenhouse Square, surrounded by bars and restaurants and cafes as well as its own. Amazingly friendly and helpful staff, exceptionally clean and spacious rooms. Recommend very highly. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

No place like home!

Aug 27th, 2019

What a place! My wife and I stayed here for the first time and it felt like we had been coming here for a long time. Darren greeted us at the door, politely helped us with our bags, and showed us to the room after check-in in a manner that made you feel like you knew him for a long time--super positive and fun attitude, and very professional. This gentleman sets the tone for a very nice stay. The front desk is not a madhouse like many hotels these days. It was down beat, no stress, no line, no frustration to check in. Our room was on the second floor and magnificent...super clean and well kept by the staff during our stay. Honestly, the bathroom was kept like new each day by the staff. If you have the time, check out the theater (large screen TV viewing room). Parking was a convenient and leisurely 1 minute stroll from the hotel to the Sanson Street valet garage, but it will take you a couple of minutes more because you will stop to peek as you past some nice bustling bistros, boutique shops, galleries, and beautiful historic homes across the street. To say it plainly, this property and the staff make you feel immediately like you were coming home! This property would also be a great place for an executive retreat or business planning/collaboration/training week. We recommend anyone looking for a posh environment with a comfortable atmosphere, check this place out. They took time to show me other suites to get a feel for other options. So, whenever business or family visits brings us back to Philly, the a.k.a is definitely a place we want to stay again. Many thanks to all of the staff for a great job! We really enjoyed the stay. Impressive space lacking care and amenities

Aug 12th, 2019

Don't get me wrong, this hotel is beautiful and located in a prime spot, but it seems a better fit for people looking for an extended stay, rather than an overnight hotel. It lacked small amenities I usually expect. Like, there was a coffee maker and a Nespresso machine and no coffee (the hotel made a point to find us some coffee grounsd but said don't normally supply coffee). But who casually shows up to a hotel with Nespresso pods in their luggage? Plus, the floors don't have icemakers. I felt bad what seemed to be a maintenance man had to stop what he was doing to get me a bag of ice. Incidentally, the staff that helps you out with any room issues is lovely. Then, boy did we pay a lot of money for the room, but the lights didn't work in one of the bedrooms, the Alexa wasn't working when we got there, and the bathtub wasn't draining properly. Granted, none of this ruined my stay, but when you're paying large amounts of money for one night in a room, you expect things like lights to work. Normally, we would have called people to help us, but it took so much effort for them to fix the Alexa, and then the same guy who fixed the Alexa had to get us ice--I felt bad bothering them for every issue. Basically, I wish housekeeping would check the rooms more thoroughly between stays to make sure stuff is working for guests paying so much money. We had a great time overall, but felt like there are places where the hotel can improve. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing location and Staff

Jul 28th, 2019

This is my first time staying with the aka. I will become a frequent visitor each month and was looking for a place that would make me feel at home. I love kitchenette as it allows me to cook in. Although the location offers so many amazing places to eat. The Rittenhouse market is a few blocks away as well as a target and rite aid. Everything you need is easily accessible. Thank you Aka Rittenhouse for making this my home away from home and being so friendly. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
