Great for Conventions but Location not so Good Otherwise

Mar 27th, 2020

I recently attended a convention at this hotel. It is a nice size facility with lots of room for multiple conventions or seminars. The rooms are clean and spacious and the valet guys out front are very polite and welcoming. The front desk staff are friendly but were not very informed about the details of the convention I was attending at their facility. When you walk in the front lobby you will need to go up one floor to get to the front desk which is a bit odd. It has a couple of restaurants on site one of which is a pub style and the other fine dining. With the location being on the university campus there are not a lot of restaurants close by so be prepared to walk or cab if going off site. One thing to be aware of is credit card hacking. I believe it was from my cab ride to and from the airport and not the hotel. I would suggest using cash for payment to avoid any potential issues. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

All Good!

Mar 9th, 2020

I stayed at this hotel while attending a conference and had a great experience. Loved the lobby, which had indoor and outdoor seating and a fireplace! Room was updated and stylish yet comfortable. Our room had a balcony which we loved. Wifi worked well. The location is good as well – the hotel is walking distance to downtown Austin, in the middle of the University of Texas/Austin campus. The service was friendly. I had a drink at the hotel bar, left my notebook there, and the next day a solicitous waiter had stored it away for safekeeping – much appreciated! All good at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center, although they might want to think of a zippier name for a hotel :-) . Only quibble was the parking lot – there were various sections cordoned off with ominous and icky pools of what looked like sludge. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Priceline Name Your Own Price Must Love This Place

Mar 6th, 2020

This is probably my 4th or 5th time staying at this hotel after booking it via Priceline's name your own price. I've never used or been here as a result of the conference center, so only reviewing the hotel. It's nice, clean, staff are friendly. Room has a little tablet for radio and the alarm, instead of a traditional alarm clock. The only negative, I spilled some coffee on a white tshirt I was wearing so I rinsed it and put it on a hanger in the closet to dry. I ended up forgetting my shirt in the closet and remembering when I unpacked when I got home (only about a 3 hour drive to Houston). I called lost and found but there was no answer so I left a message. The next morning I called again and was told no tshirt was found in the room. It's a fact that I left it on a hanger in the closet, so I'm not sure if a) they tossed it, b) housekeeping or the next guest kept it, c) it's still there and they're just not checking. Excellent Conference Services Staff and Great Food

Feb 24th, 2020

We contracted with the AT&T conference center in February 2020 for our annual User Group meeting. Jeanette, Claire, and Martha were wonderful to us. They ensured we had a private office, push carts, direct access to A/V staff, and constantly checked in on us throughout our time there. And the chef prepared amazing food for our group. We had a full rotating buffet, salad bar, and sandwich bar every day for our customers, and dessert was always a treat. We've even had a few conference staff members buy their brand of pillows because the beds are so comfortable. It's a very quiet atmosphere to learn in and compact enough that your attendees won't get lost. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
