This B&B is around the corner from my sons apartment in Cambridge so I’ve stayed here several times. It’s 1/2 mile from both the Davis and Porter T stops on the red line. Very convenient. The accommodations are nice and clean. I’ve only stayed in the main house, which is an old Victorian, so it’s truly old but kept up nicely. The breakfast is cereal and breads. This is a good value for Cambridge. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We stayed in the main house on the 1st floor in the back for 2 days. Quiet, comfortable. Staff was very accomodating. Gave us tips on restaurants in the north end of Boston. A short walk to the T & the Universities. Breakfast was a typical buffet but good and all that we needed. A nice stay at a good price. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
A charming place to stay in Cambridge

We and our friends stayed a night, one couple in the main house and one couple in the "carriage house". The rooms were absolutely clean, quaint, and well-decorated. The location is great, within walking distance of the universities and the subway. The continental breakfast offered a good selection, and the price was very reasonable for a room in this location. Nice Place to relax

This was a good, comfortable place to recover from a day of too much walking and rich food. The continental breakfast we a more than adequate and plentiful. About a 15-20 minute walk to a T stop and Davis Square. We will use it again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Quaint and comfy, with some downsides.

Having looked at some of the negative reviews of Cambridge House, it seems that maybe some people didn't know what they were getting into. Look, the fact of the matter is that this is an old house that been converted, in some ways a little awkwardly, into a B&B, and we had a great stay here. The rooms are quaint, and the decorations are a bit over the top -- our room had an elevated canopy bed that required a small set of movable stairs to climb in -- but we thought that it was great. The bed was comfy, the room was quiet. Cambridge House is also in a cool part of town, a few minutes walk from a ton of great restaurants and bars, and Davis Square, with its open-air market, is right around the corner. It's also right across the street from a super cool organic food market/nursery that is not only convenient (check out the pre-made foods, deli, etc.), but also just an interesting place to spend an hour exploring. The staff at Cambridge House was nothing but helpful, and definitely went the extra mile -- they helped us print a packing label, let us borrow tape and office supplies, and then let us drop our package in their outgoing mail, let us store food in the staff fridge, and were just super amenable and cool. The only problems we had at all were infrastructural -- the internet was slow to the point of being non-existent, the room was a little warm without the windows open, and the breakfast (photo incl.) was a little light on options, including GF options for Ladyfriend. That said, we would definitely stay here again. The price is right (especially for Boston), the staff is great, and the area is ideal. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
