We truly enjoyed our stay at Abigails and wish we were there right now!!

Aug 11th, 2019

We had a few days at Abigails in July and enjoyed every minute of it. It made our short time in Victoria so special that we would go back in a New York minute. Service is outstanding! Our room had a rain shower over the claw tub and the bedroom fireplace extended into the bathroom Abigails is on a quiet residential street yet only three blocks to the Inner Harbor best hotel- Inn -B&B breakfast that we ever had Close to two great Iitalian restaurants that they recommended and made the reservations for. We will ago back to Victoria but only if we can stay at Abigails Jim & Elaine Napoda TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

So extremely helpful

An unusual review in that we never made it there. We were delayed with a flight problem from UK and then further delayed on the rebooked flight meaning our trip to Victoria was moved, and then had to be completely shelved. I wrote to the hotel to keep them updated and each time received a sympathetic and helpful response, very quickly, even though on the first occasion it was in the middle of the night. It is rare to come across this level of courtesy and professionalism and I can only imagine how good the hotel must be. Next time we will get there, many thanks to all concerned. THERE SHOULD BE A 10 STAR RATING

Our children got together and gave us the best Victoria has to offer in guest hotels. It was booked as a 50th wedding anniversary in the city of both my great grandparents. .the city of Gardens. Though tucked away on a corner and a little hard to find, it is a lovely Victorian house immaculately kept in every respect. Shining windows, dustless surfaces and polished metal. The antique feel and the quiet voices make true relaxation possible whether in your room or on the patio or terrace. We were welcomed with joy and gladness as if we were top royalty.. a tour of the house and explanations of how things worked and when activities took place was done upon arrival. We were hours early and went out after parking .We were assured of a call as soon as the suite (Tiffany Rose) was available. After lunch a call came and we headed back. Again the quiet joy and welcome as we were escorted to our room. Again full instructions were given for working the AC, the room music and gas fireplace. When we were alone (soft background music) we found 2 freshly baked cookies and a card with Staff and Management congratulations on our special day. A bottle of cabernet savignon with two wine glasses met our surprised eyes and we were grateful for the love of our children and the enthusiasm of the Staff. Each afternoon at 4:30 an appy time with incredibly delicious offerings were available for guests. But my favorite was the 3 course breakfast. Each morning the choice was a baked good with drink (and several were offered either hot or cold), a Light,Sweet or Savory Entree and a choice of additions. NOT your usual hotel brunch offering! The serving staff were charming and upbeat daily...not stiff or brusque. We will never forget our special 2 nights at ABIGAILS HOTEL and highly recommend it's lovely premises to anyone looking for Calm Joy. There should be a 10 star rating. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Tasteful and Elegant English Inn in Victoria

Jul 28th, 2019

We visited Victoria in July, 2019. For our 3 day stay we choose Abigail's Hotel based on TripAdvisor Reviews. We scored a winner. Thank you TripAdvisor and Thank you Abigail's. Our stay at Abigail's was the highlight of our summer vacation. The location is on the edge of the downtown area, but far enough away for quietness and solitude. We enjoyed the close proximity to many of the attractions in Victoria which were within walking distance: Downtown, Fisherman's Wharf, Parliament, the BC Museum, Beacon Hill and the Anglican Cathedral. The hotel is clean, well maintained and is decorated beautifully with an elegant English flair in the old world style, yet it is comfortable and functional. The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were cheerful, professional, courteous, helpful, accommodating and knowledgeable. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, very clean and well appointed. The complimentary breakfasts are full service, complete breakfasts with chef prepared food. The afternoon tea and hors d'oeuvres was amazing, more like a gourmet lunch. We enjoyed sitting out in the front patio and garden while eating and relaxing. Abigail's is big on details and all of our needs were anticipated. We really enjoyed our stay. Abigail's greatly exceeded our expectations. We will definitely stay at Abigails in the future when in Victoria and would highly recommend it. Rarely do I give 5 Star Ratings; Abigail's gets a 5+.; TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Never fails to please

Abigails is absolutely our favourite place to stay while visiting Victoria. Their superb service and quaint rooms are warm and comforting . Locally sourced food makes for delicious breakfast which is included. Easy walking distance to downtown core of the city. Fun to enjoy free appetizers over a drink in the library. It truly has the ambience of staying in a home or guest house. Cheers to the staff. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
