Waterpark not included with hotel stay

Jul 19th, 2019

We stayed here to attend a Twins/Royals baseball game. Rooms - our room was fine, with comfortable beds. The hotel shows its age in some areas, though they have done a nice job keeping the feel modern in the rooms. We stay in a lot of hotel rooms, and I would say this room was below average as far as cleanliness is concerned, but I'm picky. Pools - there are two pools available to hotel guests (indoor and outdoor) that are free of charge. We found the outdoor pool to be very nice, with loungers around it. It seemed clean and modern, and we enjoyed our time there. We didn't use the indoor pool, as it was already occupied by a large number of people at the time we tried to use it. Water park and arcade - water park passes are not free to those staying in the hotel, but we didn't find this too troubling, as the outdoor pool was nice enough. Getting to the game - it was an EASY walk to the stadium, so it was nice to not have to pay for parking for the ballgame. Except for the first part of the walk, there are wide sidewalks and traffic control lights for pedestrians to use to get to the ballgame. Food - no breakfast is included, but there is a Denny's nearby, as well as a Burger Kind and Taco Bell, for any dining needs. We did not go to the hotel's restaurant/bar. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

DO NOT BOOK

Jul 17th, 2019

This is a poor hotel. We were there for a family reunion & mini vacation. AC didn't work right in a lot of our rooms, their fix...fans & a BS card from maintenance saying it was fixed. NOT. Stains on the sheets, rooms not dusted, 1 day had a nasty smell. Rooms were supposedly renovated in 2015? Not my room. Stains on floor, burn marks on lampshades, Peeling wallpaper, water pressure was awful! Take a shower and took 1/2 hr for water to drain from the tub. The big conference room off the bar, AC didn't work right, musty smell, and the carpet had wrinkles throughout the room. Pools had to be shutdown by inspectors, in the middle of the afternoon because of people complaining they had diarrhea from it. DO NOT BOOK this hotel, you'd have better luck at a motel 6. Worse stay ever for $215 a night

Jul 15th, 2019

This is by far the worse stay I have ever had no matter the rate or hotel and this is an Adams Mark ! To start off I was told the room rate was including the water park on arrive I was told it did not and we would get a discounted rate of $15 per person. Then we get to the room and we had a double bed room for 3 adults and on child. There was no fridge or microwave, the TV was on one side of the room and was very small for the size of room, no dresser, just a desk which had a 4 plug outlet that had 2 broken and missing, the lamps were very dusty, the beds were old slanted mattresses when you sit down on bed you can feel the springs shift under you and were stained, the phone on the night stand had missing buttons, house keeping came and made beds but did not take out full trash or leave towels which they took, hair dryer as just wrapped up and thrown on the bath room counter, the pool was very dirty and green and had neighbor hood people swimming I asked one guy which is how I know, and a ton more but not enough space to type it all but on checking out I asked for a manager but was told there wasn't one I asked for a comment card the guy gave me a spiral note pad and ink pen I have pictures of the room please contact me at Lmasserello@yahoo.com this is very unacceptable and I'm a guy who never complains and can sleep in the woods with no cover but for my family I cant let this go unsaid $430 for 2 night never again ! Big Disappointment

Jul 14th, 2019

We were in town for a Royal's game and this hotel is just across the street. We've stayed at the Drury before but this time we thought we would stay at the Adam's Mark, go to the attached indoor water park and then go to the game. Pros: - Across the road from the stadiums - Free shuttle to the stadiums Cons: - Double bed rooms (which we knew when we booked it but almost no one has these now) - Dated decor - Could not get a roll-a-way bed (they said it was a fire hazard because of the room size) - The shower was filthy at the bottom (called the front desk and they did come quickly to clean it) - No refrigerator - Inoperable wifi - Poor A/C - Coffee maker was missing the tray to put the coffee in - Low water pressure in the shower - The bed creaked - The bed was uncomfortable - Limited parking (I saw a lot of people park then walk to the stadium, leaving no spaces for paying guests. Five other cars and I were circling trying to find a spot) - Loud guests in the hallway I understand that the hotel can't help loud, inconsiderate guests but the maintenance issues and the lack of amenities is within their control. I can't believe we paid more to stay here than the Drury. The only reason I didn't mark it as "terrible" was because the beds seemed to be clean. We won't stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Expected More for the Price

Jul 14th, 2019

I typically stay in budget hotels, and am not very picky on my accommodations. When I pay a rate of $164 ($197 with tax and fees, there's a few things I expect), that I would not be bothered by lower priced hotels. Checked in at 4 PM and was a 20-30 minute wait as everyone was checking in at that time. They had 3 out of the four front-desk computers staffed, and really needed the 4th one. The hotel for the night was very busy, and the elevators and staff were unable to effectively keep up with the amount of traffic. There was no literature on what services the hotel offered in the room, or was none explained to us upon check in. There also was not an alarm clock or a refrigerator in the room (things that were expected with the price of the room). The 12th floor also did not have an ice machine. The room's insulation is very thin and can hear everyone in the hallways, work radios of the staff, and even the pool from the 12th story. On a good note, the room was pretty clean and bed was comfortable. Also all the staff were friendly and helpful, just spread too thin. The shuttle to the KC Royals game was great, and the driver was very friendly and helpful. The shuttle on the way back was packed full of guests, so we chose to simply walk back instead. Overall, not a bad stay, but for the price charged, this property needs to up its game to justify the cost. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
