The location of this hotel allows you to put up with a little more just because it's wonderful! The room was clean, but nothing to brag about. A deep cleaning needs to be done. We used the in room coffee maker to make hot water and the water was brown without any use of coffee. We reported it and asked for a coupon to buy something downstairs and were given a microwave. The front desk staff and coffee bar staff did act like they could careless, the valet was nice and the baggage staff was wonderful. The picket line was out front (but just for a few hours each day) the people were super friendly and couldn't hear them past the front lobby. This is not a luxury hotel, this is a mid-level hotel. It is very difficult to get to the hotel in a car. To pull up to Valet you must enter from Michigan Ave otherwise you have to pull past the hotel and back-up your car. Also when we were there Protestors greeted us and were a constant. Last, our room was HOT. We called down to have someone come and fix it and when we got back from the Cubs game it was still hot and never looked at. Last, the room design was off - choppy no flow and hard to carry a conversation. The valet were the nicest to us - everyone else had an attitude like they didn't want to be working there - not worth the money and will never stay at a Choice Hotel again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The location to shopping areas and local eateries was wonderful. The staff was friendly, but acted disinterested until Jessica who was both professional and courteous really made the difference in my experience at the front desk. The house keeper was also very pleasant and accommodating during my entire stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Terrible front desk staff and labor dispute.

Front desk staff in the evening were extremely rude and unhelpful with simple requests. I felt like they were bothered by me asking questions about the area and about needing extra water for my room. Location is good, but I paid a lot to stay here and I would not recommend. I will never stay in Cambria again. Also, they have a massive labor dispute with Chicago hotel workers. Apparently, Cambria is the only hotel not to settle the dispute - every other Chicago hotel has. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stayed for a business conference that was being held at a nearby Hotel. Cost was signifcantly lower than conference Hotel and Room was just as nice if not nicer. Hotel was much smaller and that was nice, because less crowds. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
