No Help During All-Night Party Upstairs

Dec 27th, 2020

I stayed at the Stewart hotel just before Christmas 2020 for 1 night with my family with 2 young children as we passed through NYC. At 11:30 pm a loud party began in the room above us, rap music blasting; loud partying underway. Woke up us parents, who had been asleepfor about an hour. We called downstairs, asked management to make it stop. 15 minutes later a hotel employee knocked on our door saying "Its not that loud". We invited him in to year it himself. "Oh yeah, its pretty loud" he acknowledged. We were on the floor below the top floor. He then asked us if we'd like to MOVE to another room. This was at 12:30 am after a long day of travel! My 2 young kids were asleep (nothing wakes them). We said absolutely not, shut the party down instead. He wasn't going to demand that this particular party cease, it was clear. I luckily brought heavy-duty wax earplugs, so I slept a little. Wife cannot use them, so she got no sleep at all while the big party roared away till 4 or 5. Technically it was a weeknight too. Management never went back or lifted a finger for us. Don't take a chance on this place, and whatever response they put up to this post is BS. Try the Holiday Inn or the Pennsylvania Hotel or anything else. Infuriating. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Ok

Fairly bizarre due to the pandemic. Nice location but low key felt catfish by the photos online. The hotel was quiet and the staff pleasant, but the smell in the hall on the floors was horrid. The American horror story vibe I was getting creeped me out. I was happy my baby father drove to the city to stay with me because I was scared to sleep by myself with the kids. I needed a break from Jersey. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

better hospitality to come here

Nov 17th, 2020

here is a better place to stay here you get better hospitality, a Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay is the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. We traveled with two six-year-olds and lots of luggage and despite the stairs up to the elevator, this was one of the nicest places we stayed in the four weeks we were in new york. Perfect stay

Nov 11th, 2020

My wife and I needed a staycation, we came across the Stewart and took a chance. Sooo glad we did, as soon as we walked in we loved the decor, we were then greeted by Andrew whom I believe is the front desk manager and wow was he professional. Not only was he very pleasant he listened to the type of room and floor that were ideal to us and he accommodated us lovely! High floor, corner room with great views not to mention the size and cleanliness of the room, it was all perfection! Thank you Stewart Hotel and a super big thank you to Andrew for making our stay one of the best ever! We will certainly recommend this hotel to friends and family. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
