Perfect Oasis after busy sightseeing

Jun 24th, 2019

We stayed for 9 nights & upgraded to the 11th floor recently refurbished rooms (views of Empire State bldg). Room was massive, huge king size bed so comfy! Aircon worked a treat & was so nice to come home after walking our legs off all day. Fantastic location, step out your door to incredible restaurants (must check out Keens steak house & eat @ the pub) best fillet Mignon skewers we’ve ever eaten & the atmosphere was true old style NY, check it out as we went twice & loved it!! Also must check out Mad dog & Beans (Mexican) @ 5 E 48th st - happy hour 3-6 (frozen margaritas are amazing) only at the bar so get there early - stay for dinner - you won’t be disappointed- place gets packed - awesome atmosphere, so much fun. We walked everywhere from hotel but a good tip is to buy a weekly subway pass ($USD 34 pp) as subway is so easy to get around esp if you want to checkout all of NY. The roof top bar is open in good weather & is a must - views are beautiful & they have cool music & lots of seating - it’s very cool - we loved it & the views of Empire State are gorgeous We had the best 10 days @ the Shelburne as a couple @ highly recommend & already miss it - being slightly further away from Times Sq meant the rooms were quiet (although we could sometimes hear the NY sirens we actually enjoyed that). The staff are friendly, rooms are massive, with every amenity required, central location, great value for money!! The rates fluctuate daily so check them out @ book online using the Shelburne hotel & suites link in your browser - you can canx 7 days in advance w/out fees so make a bkg & then keep checking prices - they have a great rate for extended stays 7 days or more that includes free wi-fi & the daily resort fee ($usd 39 p/day) so you end up paying much less as all taxes are included & no nasty surprises @ checkout Already want to go back!! Great Hotel in Murray HIll

Jun 24th, 2019

This was my second stay within 3 weeks. The hotel staff was great and offered an upgrade. The hotel rooms are surprisingly large for NYC and the location is great. The hotel is walking distance to Rockefeller Center and Times Square. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Well Done

Jun 24th, 2019

All employees were friendly. Most important, each person was well informed about every detail of the property and how to navigate every task. Multi-lingual front desk. A pleasure all around. No disappointments, no frustrations. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hotel with a nice view

Jun 23rd, 2019

The hotel location is very good and if you are lucky as we were with a nice view to the Empire State Building. Rooms and service is ok. But why a kitchen without dish ware? The resort fee seems overpriced. In that way it is very expensive “free wine”. Of course you hear always street noise in NYC TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
