Friendly staff, clean but worn out

Feb 15th, 2020

Excellent position near Montecitorio and is located in a side street to Via del Corso i.e. you are near shopping and many must-go sights. Strong wi-fi, blackout windows, tea kettle, real hairdryer Good: Small but clean rooms, friendly staff. Kudos to the hardworking and efficient breakfast chef/waitress Choice of breakfast foods okay and the chef will whip you up fresh scrambled eggs and bacon as well as make you cappuccino. Cosy roof terrace, tho' still a bit cold to sit out 15 Feb. Fast check in (we are still here) Be careful: in this hotel a room with twin beds means two separate single beds in two different rooms. We thought the beds would be in the same room with the possibility of being pushed together. The main bed's frame creaks when you move. I like medium hard to soft mattress so I found the other bed hard and uncomfortable to sleep in. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great value in a great location

Feb 10th, 2020

After reading some of the reviews we were really pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The hotel is in an amazing location and the staff are very helpful and friendly. I would agree that the rooms are a little scuffed etc but they were clean and comfortable and that in no way detracted from the pleasant stay we had. The rooftop bar is fantastic and we used it every day. I would note that trip advisor states breakfast is included - you do pay extra for it (we didn't and went for coffee and a pastry nearby instead). This is my 3rd time in Rome now and this is definitely the best place I've stayed and I would come back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Central & Great staff

Jan 4th, 2020

This is a charming older hotel 2 minutes from the Trevi fountain one way and 4minutes to the Pantheon. Around every corner is something wonderful and the views from the roof terrace are wonderful. Breakfast is good, fresh and plentiful. Staff are so very helpful and welcomed us back on our return. Insights and suggestions were plentiful also and the concierge staff take the time to ensure that you understand. We have no Italian and were first timers to Rome. Pick up service available at the airport and , at 50 Euros, was well worth it after a 21 hour trip! They are taking us back to the airport at 6am too. Rooms are older and not so spacious as we have been in in other cities, but all clean and the bed is big and comfortable, and so are the pillows. This place is a bargain and we are happy to recommend it TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A hotel with a kind heart

Dec 17th, 2019

We didn't stay at the hotel actually, but I can say this is a hotel with a kind heart. One night during our trip in Rome, me and my friend were walking around the neighborhood and a black guy suddenly came up and "gave" us some "free" bracelets. We didn't really want them but eventually accepted, because we fell for the "my wife just had our first baby so I'm happy and Africa and China are friends because you don't discriminate" nonsense. We didn't want to hurt his feelings just in case what he said was true despite the odds. That turned out to be a terrible mistake. Soon we realized we were followed from a distance by a group of them! We got scared so we put his stuff on the ground and tried to walk away. As soon as we did that the same guy came up to us and started asking for money. We tried to ignore him, but he started grabbing my arm. And clearly he didn't care if I was going to call the police. Now imagine this was our first time in Italy, and heard so much about the safety reputation before we came. We were so scared and ran into this hotel. We explained the situation to Simone from the front desk, and he tried to calm us down. We didn't want to walk anyone, and Simone helped us call a taxi even though none could came because of the many roads blocked due to events. He also tried to call our hotel and see if they could send someone to pick us up since our hotel was only 10 mins walk away. When we had no luck, he asked his colleague Simone the porter (yes, the same name!) If he would walk us back. Simone kindly offered to help. We weren't even staying at this hotel! Compared to our fancy designer hotel, I would say this hotel actually made me feel more welcomed in Rome. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

good location easy chink inn & great staff

Nov 9th, 2019

Good location, in the heart of Roma, about 300 m to the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon, the hotel is surrounded with restaurant , coffee shops and shops, but the room furniture is too old , especially the bed, TV, and no refrigerator, I am not really impressed with their rooftop terrace but very nice and helpful reception staff TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
