If I could live here..

Jul 28th, 2020

Stayed here with my daughter for a few days last August. The room was great, very effective aircon (life saver in August!) and comfy beds. The decor and bathroom a little tired looking but not a problem, plus I hear they are currently having a makeover. The staff were all lovely and the ladies at breakfast really kind too, offered us soya milk for caffelatte to go with our glutenfree breakfast basket. Such a nice start to the day to eat on the roof terrace. Brilliantly placed for wandering the streets of Rome to take in the atmosphere and see the sights. I’m sorry for not writing a review earlier. If it wasn’t for covid, I would have been back by now, I hear they are opening again after their makeover early 2021 so plan to visit as soon as English visitors are welcome. Thankyou for our stay and helping me fall in love with the Eternal City. I hope you are all well x (PS. I also hear you are going up a star...please don’t out-price me!) TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I wanted to get the heck out of there asap.

Issue with lack of cleanliness and the moldy awful shower that was old and set up high, you would have to step up to it. Outside the windows were scaffolds all over the hotel itself. It was really unpleasant. Hotel staff said no other room available, luckily I got another hotel and checked out the next morning. Pathetic. They think tourists will tolerate anything? Italians I know would not live like this. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Awesome people and hotel

Feb 26th, 2020

I am so happy I chose this hotel for the few nights I was in Rome. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. Every employee I encountered there was kind, helpful and friendly. (And spoke several languages.) The location is amazing and the rooftop bar was lovely, with a great view. It’s an old building but it was clean and comfortable and had great pillows on the bed. I would absolutely stay there again if I’m lucky enough to go back to Rome one day. ❤️ Thank you! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Friendly staff, clean but worn out

Feb 15th, 2020

Excellent position near Montecitorio and is located in a side street to Via del Corso i.e. you are near shopping and many must-go sights. Strong wi-fi, blackout windows, tea kettle, real hairdryer Good: Small but clean rooms, friendly staff. Kudos to the hardworking and efficient breakfast chef/waitress Choice of breakfast foods okay and the chef will whip you up fresh scrambled eggs and bacon as well as make you cappuccino. Cosy roof terrace, tho' still a bit cold to sit out 15 Feb. Fast check in (we are still here) Be careful: in this hotel a room with twin beds means two separate single beds in two different rooms. We thought the beds would be in the same room with the possibility of being pushed together. The main bed's frame creaks when you move. I like medium hard to soft mattress so I found the other bed hard and uncomfortable to sleep in. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great value in a great location

Feb 10th, 2020

After reading some of the reviews we were really pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The hotel is in an amazing location and the staff are very helpful and friendly. I would agree that the rooms are a little scuffed etc but they were clean and comfortable and that in no way detracted from the pleasant stay we had. The rooftop bar is fantastic and we used it every day. I would note that trip advisor states breakfast is included - you do pay extra for it (we didn't and went for coffee and a pastry nearby instead). This is my 3rd time in Rome now and this is definitely the best place I've stayed and I would come back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
