Grear resort great service

Aug 22nd, 2019

We spent three nights at Alderbrook. The staff in the hotel, restaurant, spa, and golf course are so welcoming and professional. Our courtyard view room was perfect, high ceilings and comfortable I particularly enjoyed stretching out in a window nook reading on a rainy morning . The golf course is well maintained and fun to play. I had one of the best massages ever in the spa. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent. We look forward to coming back to enjoy some of the water sports and activities as well as the dinners and other weekend events at the marina. Alder and Brook, the lobby cats, are adorable TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wonderful Stay

Aug 17th, 2019

Last minute overnight with the family to celebrate a birthday. The weather cooperated and we fully enjoyed the kayak rentals, patio dining, fire pits, serene, quieter live acoustic music & more. Excellent food & service. Tranquil place to relax. Beautiful view of Hood Canal. Dog-friendly, spa robes and indoor pool with open sliders to canal were a plus. We’d only been during cooler weather (snowfall is magical there) but Summer was just as gorgeous. Love this place. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful Resort

Aug 6th, 2019

Great service and facilities. We loved our room. Clean, nice size, comfortable, big tub, quiet, etc. Slept well. Beautiful setting on Hood Canal. We were there only one night but wished we could stay longer. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Service, View and Comfort made for an excellent weekend!

Aug 6th, 2019

We were part of a large group attending a wedding, and were impressed with the attention to detail and how nice and helpful all of the staff were. Our room was impeccable, comfortable and quiet. All of the staff that helped us over the weekend were working so hard and their friend "will do" attitude made the weekend perfect. We can't wait to go back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent Service, But Those Allergic to Cats Need a Heads Up

Aug 5th, 2019

Unfortunately I stayed at the resort during a time when the weather didn't afford me much use of the entertainment the resort fee covers. Nonetheless, it's a beautiful facility at first glance and the grounds are lovely--there are even some casual hiking trails. But what allergy sufferers should know right up front is that two cats live in the lobby. That was a bummer to me, as it kept me from participating in guest events in the lobby due to my allergies. Wish they weren't present, to be candid. But my room was lovely and had a partial view of the water. It also included a bucket of candy and a mini-bar--temptations abound! But I was delighted to find a complementary packet of watercolor pencils and a pad to inspire creativity. I considered what to draw as I sipped the house coffee provided with the in-room Keurig, which was fantastic. (I found the source and brought some of that delicious coffee home!) Manufactured waterfalls are everywhere on this property, so outside my window I could hear a waterfall and just outside my door in the open courtyard, there was a waterfall. The grounds include two fire pits and plenty of chairs to observe the dock and the boats anchored there. There is a more formal restaurant with a water view and a casual outdoor restaurant near the dock. There is also a spa, but it doesn't have additional amenities--just a relaxation room. I had a great facial there, but I could also hear the conversation in the room next door. I understand the spa will be renovated soon to create more soundproof rooms. The staff has been well-trained in customer-first service and responded quickly to whatever questions or issues I brought to them. The casual restaurant had average food but the dining room's cuisine was very satisfying. I wish the weather had permitted use of the kayaks or more adventurous hiking, but it's also a restful place if the rain of the Pacific Northwest shows up during your visit, too.
