Argentina tour

May 8th, 2019

This hotel is very well run. The breakfast and light dinner options are very good. The staff are very helpful. We had issues with our tour operator but the staff here were always on hand to help if possible. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

San Carlos de Bariloche

Apr 27th, 2019

Overall the hotel was very good and comfortable. I felt though there needs to be some clarification on the description of the hotel. The hotel is lakeside right next to a busy road. While the hotel is close to the town center it is still a 10 minute walk. The pictures give the impression there is a lot of property around the hotel which is not true. The only property they have is lakeside and looks less than a 1/2 acre. If you are booking inexpensive rooms you'll be put on the street side of the hotel. With no view. The rooms are a good size and clean. Beds are comfortable. I don't believe there is air conditioning but you can open windows. Staff at the hotel is professional and helpful. As I said it's a very good hotel and probably the best place to stay if you want to be walking distance to town. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We wanted to like this hotel!

Mar 31st, 2019

Best part was the view from our room - big window with stellar views of the lake, we loved it. However, the rooms were warm (no a/c which is normal in many hotels in Patagonia), the pool area was beautiful BUT too warm/muggy to hang out. The lobby & upstairs restaurant were nice but needed a little warmth & designer touches. Rooms are bland. Breakfast was ok but not the best. The customer service was not good, they need training at the front desk. Bartender upstairs was nice. I think this hotel is best suited for large tour groups. Alma owner: Lovely place, it won’t take much to make improvements, get on it! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Average hotel with stunning view on the lake

Mar 23rd, 2019

My husband and I stayed two nights at Alma Del Lago Suites & Spa. The hotel is located right on the lake and rooms have a beautiful view. Our room on the second floor was spacious enough but didn't have an air conditioner. We had to open a window to air it. The bathroom was clean and had some basic toiletries but no facial tissue. There was no kettle in the room. The bed and pillows were comfortable. We had breakfast at the hotel and it was average. Reception was helpful but not very friendly. The location of the hotel was very convenient. There were plenty of places to eat within walking distance. All in all we enjoyed our stay at the Alma Del Lago Suites & Spa and would recommend it to other travellers. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

So-so hotel , but the view makes it all worthwhile

Mar 11th, 2019

We recently stayed here for only one night as part of a tour. Although the pool looked terrific in the photos, it is actually across the street from the hotel, so we didn't have enough time to use it. The lobby isn't very attractive, and the long and narrow design of the hotel is odd. Looking at the photos of other rooms, I realize we must have had one of the smallest rooms. The redeeming feature was the stunning view of the harbour, which more than made up for the perfectly fine but smallish room. Dinner that night was in the hotel's dining room, which also has a terrific view and comfy atmosphere, and which served good food. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
