Great place to stay at.

The bed and breakfast is very convenient to both the Vatican and public transportation to the rest of Rome. The room was large and very clean. It is located in a great neighborhood with many great restaurants. The breakfast was just across the street with a variety of choices. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We stayed 3 nights at the Almes B&B. The bare minimum of comfort and amenities. Bed very hard. Towels never changed out. Hard to find location - in a residential apt bldg with no signage for the B&B whatsoever. No personnel on site to help with anything if needed. Not what I expected based on previous reviews and pictures. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Cozy, fun, reasonable--2 great restaurants nearby

We stayed 4 nights--near Vatican, but convenient to Rome via metro. Discovered Il Colibri and Pizza Amalfi within 10 mins walk. Nice park around the corner. We ate well, slept well and enjoyed Roma! Nice people run it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great location, Great service

We spent a week here in April and had no complaints. The room is clean and has everything you need. The bathroom has a built in hairdryer, shower and bidet. Bedding and towels were changed every day. The lady who greeted us and serviced the room was lovely - really helpful and friendly. A simple breakfast was available very close by in a lovely cafe. I would recommend this as a great place to stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Superb apartment in Rome near the Vatican
Mar 17th, 2018
We spent almost two weeks in February-March in the Almes Garden Apartment (which is separate from the Almes B&B). The apartment has a great location, a lovely walled garden right outside the kitchen and bedroom that would be a wonderful place to relax when the weather is good (it snowed while we were in Rome) and is very comfortable for a short or longer stay. It is a short distance from the metro and several buses so we traveled throughout Rome easily (including to the main train station-Termini-which connects to the hop-on-hop-off buses, the airport and has other amenities). We also walked across the Tiber to the main sights when the weather was good. And it is a few blocks from the Vatican. If you are a runner, it is a short run on sidewalks to reach the great running path along the river. The apartment is also close to all the amenities--such as a fantastic bakery with other food also (Bonci), a super coffee shop even for American tastes in coffee (plus great pastries)(Sciascia Caffee), lovely cafes and restaurants (such as Cafe Meme) and even a great burger place (eat in or take out--Tommi's Burger Joint). The owners' daughter was our primary contact and was wonderful throughout our stay. Wifi is critical for us and the apartment has good wifi. It is quiet even though surrounded by city life. We liked being in what is really a neighborhood in Rome--not a tourist area. We will definitely stay here the next time we are in Rome. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
