Nice staying

Jun 18th, 2019

I have spent just one night in this hotel. The quality of sleep is very good and the gym was available 24/7. The room was clean and its size was big enough to move about. The personnel was welcoming and willing to help, providing a lot of useful information. The position, in relation to the position of the European Commission, was strategic. I will surely come back. Excellence for moderate price!

We went there during the Pentecost holiday, which may explain the fantastic deal we’ve had. In the European community quarter of Brussels, a quite vast room with a kings bed and everything needed, plus a big breakfast choice - what do you want more? TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good, affordable option for business

May 29th, 2019

You're probably not staying in this bit of Brussels on holiday. As a business hotel, this is a fine choice. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with nice views from the higher floors. The breakfast is basic—continental plus some poached eggs—and the bar/dining area feels a bit sterile at 6am, but you're probably not looking to linger anyway. All of the EU institutions are within a 10-minute walk, plus some decent restaurants and bars. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Quieter location but still close to centre

May 14th, 2019

We chose the Aloft because it was a newer hotel and was close enough to the city centre. It proved to be a good choice since the rooms are quite large and the housekeeping was top notch. We did find the curtains in the room to be quite dirty with lots of stains but the rest of the room was very clean. We loved the big shower and there was plenty of counter space. We arrived via train at central station and needed a van so we thought we would take a taxi. The driver said it was a fixed price of 25 euros which we thought was a bit of a scam. A quick check on UBER showed that it would cost only 10 euros. UBER is not allowed to pick up directly at the train station but we walked across the street in front of the Hilton hotel and we were then able to order and saved 15 euros! All though not in the touristy area we liked the fact that it was much quieter around the hotel. There is plenty of restaurants and grocery stores which we used for breakfast. The hotel does have breakfast which is not included. They have some pastries and other various things for 14 euros but we decided instead to walk up the street to Paul for most of our breakfasts. They have a really good breakfast deal for 7.50 euros which gives you a coffee, orange juice, croissant and pain au chocolat. Hard to beat! The metro Schuman is also a couple of minutes walk which was quite nice to get to the city centre and is only 4 stops. Overall we enjoyed our stay here at the Aloft and our only negative comment would be that there is no pool and they don't have a real coffee maker in the room. Just instant coffee with a kettle.Despite this we would stay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hip and Fresh

May 10th, 2019

Marriott Bonvoy have managed to create a relaxed and youthful environment without sacrificing comfort. The rooms are spacious with great shower, comfortable bed and QUIET Air conditioning. Bliss. Breakfast is a buffet and varied. There is a bar where you can have a bite to eat in the evening. Good location, not too central but close enough... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
